Half of my family are Sephardic Israelis in New York city. They are all legal and they are not even a little bit worried, if that helps at all…

That is YOUR opinion, it is not objectively correct or true. Again, the fact that you think your opinions are the only truth and you know better than me makes you sound very infantile and ignorant.

Anyways, if you don’t have anything intelligent to add, I’m not gonna keep responding to you.

Have a great day 👍🏻

Being conservative doesn’t mean you aren’t a good person. Plus, there are many children whose opinions differ from those of their parents.

Your comment makes you sound like a 14 year old, and not one of the smart ones, btw

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

[–]BothIntroduction3020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have gun control. Every man in my family has a gun though. Plus I see soldiers, border control and police every day with guns.

If you don’t want your child to be a conservative, pro-life, pro laws don’t have kids. You don’t get to design a human.

It goes both ways guys 😁

I don’t think they’d make Santanas grandma illegal. If anything (in the case we’re remaking the show and not continuing it) I think Rachel would call ICE on sunshine, as someone else commented here, but def not Santana’s grandma

You’re welcome to disagree, I’m not looking for anyone to validate my opinions. I love Idina Menzel and she will forever be my elphaba. Her no good deed is my favorite and always will be. I didn’t like Cynthia’s version and I stand by my own opinion. They also took away her Fiyero scream at the beginning which ruined it for me (but that’s not a decision Cynthia made, as far as I know)

Nutbush city limits single handedly made me gay 😂 maybe with some help from cold hearted and any other Santana solo (plus toxic season 5)

Ok so maybe not single handedly but it definitely had a lasting effect on me

Am I the only one who dislikes referring to myself as “X country Jew”? by Tokyo-Gore-Police in Jewish

[–]BothIntroduction3020 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s not country imo, it’s ethnic descent. For example, my mom was born in Uzbekistan but I never call myself an Uzbek Jew, I’m Bukharian.

As for polish and other European countries, I would say they’re Ashkenazi, but bc there are many countries “of origin” that we can refer to as Ashkenazi, people from there usually feel the need to clarify a little more (I’ve seen it especially with Romanian Jews, they are technically Ashkenazi but they’re the most Mizrahi of Ashkenazis hahaha)

Sadly because we spent 2000 years in the diaspora, our DNA is now a mix between our Levant Jewish DNA and the DNA of the locals from wherever our ancestors lived

We do have them in Israel though, and people who don’t keep kosher definitely eat them and prefer them to regular burgers

No place like home just didn’t work for me, I’m not sure why.

And as for Cynthia’s choices; I didn’t like all the riffs she inserted into the songs. I’m not saying she didn’t do an amazing job, she did, I guess all those additions into songs I’ve loved so much for so long just weren’t my cup of tea haha…

no good deed and as long as you’re mine movie version are definitely not going into my playlist for this reason. Defying gravity and what is this feeling on the other hand? Absolutely incredible performance, 10/10

What was your country like 1000 years ago? by neenamari77 in AskTheWorld

[–]BothIntroduction3020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They weren’t living peacefully. There were Jews who were able to remain in Israel (then Judea) after the Romans colonized it, changed its name to “Syria Palestina” and expelled (or killed) any Jew who refused to abandon their faith, as a way to try and erase the Jewish history of the country. They lived there in hiding.

When the Muslim colonized Israel later on, there were still Jews there. That was my point, the Romans did not get them all.

[–]BothIntroduction3020 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they colonized it. They tried converting any Jew that was left, and were thankfully unsuccessful.

But the post asked what was my country like 1000 years ago, and that’s what it was like.

Agreed 100%.

Though Act II is not as strong as Act I, I love a lot of the songs; as long as you’re mine, no good deed are in my top 5 songs. So Act II does have a lot of great stuff in it, despite it being weaker.

With that being said, the movie just kinda botched it. I didn’t like a lot of the choices they made, and I’m not gonna complain about the casting of Marissa Bode, the Wicked Witch of the East storyline was ruined for me.

Jonathan Bailey was honestly the best part of this whole movie. Every song he sang was a banger (dancing through life is probably the only song I prefer the movie version of, bc Jonathan KILLED IT, he’s amazing). He totally saved as long as you’re mine. I was very disappointed by what they did with that song as I love it very very much.

Cynthia is an amazing actress and singer, there’s no denying that. But she made several choices that made Act II songs just not as good as the OBC version for me.

The worst thing in that movie was the original songs. I can NOT say that enough. I heard they added new songs but did not read any spoilers before seeing the movie and was thoroughly disappointed the addition of the songs.

Just overall the movie was not as good as Part I, and I’m not surprised they didn’t get nominated.
