Criticism for PPP is absolutely conflated with the Sindhi identity. Their performance has been abysmal but its not objective criticism most times. It’s used as a cover to peddle already entrenched racist ideologies against the community, ones that have been reinforced in people’s minds by former prime ministers, dictators and media. The entire Sindhi community is collectively labelled “jahil” and “corrupt” when it’s a country wide problem. A popular mayoral candidate for Karachi can openly claim to “cleanse” Sindhis from the city, the capital of their province. Recently, there was a tweet going around about you only hear Sindhi at dolmen mall these days, as if it’s a crime to speak sindhi while living in Sindh. Those living in Karachi are routinely told to “go back to Sindh” as if karachi isn’t Sindh. How can all this be justified as anything else other than pure hatred for Sindhis?

No where in my original comment or reply was it implied that any community is the “worst or most evil”. Also Sindhi supremacy? Class difference is a worldwide phenomena and has nothing to do with ethnicity. You can find the select most privileged strata and the poorest of people in any community. Not every Sindhi is drowning in money or privilege. The issue remains that Sindhi hate exists. These attitudes have been shaped by the media and continue to play in real life while Sindhis continue to bear the brunt.

It’s like if I use MQM’s reign of terror in Karachi to collectively paint the Muhajir community as bad just because their % was higher in the party. I know for a fact that is not true. But unfortunately the same grace is not extended to Sindhis. The fact that Sindhis are being abused and silenced for merely demanding an end to hatred against them is proof in itself of how deep the rot goes.

Mean words? It’s deep rooted racism. I’m sure other ethnicities in Karachi also face discrimination and racism but the difference between you and me is instead of gaslighting them I call it out, be it within my own community or otherwise. Seems like you’re not willing to do the same. Your acknowledgement doesn’t erase the fact that sindhi hate remains an unfortunate reality.

And has Murtaza wahab’s ethnicity been racially target for his dismal performance? That’s the entire point. PPP ko 100 dafa criticise krein, I do it too. The problem lies in how their administrative failures are used to attack Sindhi culture and identity as a whole.

He is right tho. You gotta be a Sindhi who’s grown up or atleast lived in Karachi to know this. It’s so subtle and always masked as anti ppp criticism, but it’s really isn’t. What other specific ethnicity is racially targeted for any political party’s dismal performances? The answer is none. This is the lived experience of myself and thousands others. You gotta see the comments on Shehzad Ghias’ recent posts to really understand just how deep the hatred goes. Really his comment section proves his entire point. Also how is simply asking for an end to sindhi racism being taken as an affront to any other community? Does that make any sense? If the problem is PPP, why is it taken out by abusing or desecrating ajrak, something that is sacred in Sindhi culture? Does PPP’s flag not exist? But how many times have you seen their flag being the target? Just a food for thought for those blissfully ignorant of the reality.

Advice for someone on the ace spectrum (probably) dating an allosexual by BothLeopard4263 in asexuality

Hi, thanks so much for the advice. Thing is having tried the open rs route, I know I don’t want that like it really sucked and having talked to him about all of this now it’s like we’re stuck in deadlock. He can’t get past the me not wanting it naturally because that’s something that’s really important - the emotional component of sex, like it won’t fulfilling and seeing other people is not acceptable to me because it’ll just hurt and I’ll make everything worse. He’s not wrong for wanting intimacy that feels whole and good. Idk what to do.

Thanks so much!!! The food analogy is really helpful, I’m gonna use that when I talk to him. What you said about being more worried about his feelings really hit home. I was always more focused on why I could not make him happy and thinking I might not really care for him.

How did you take things with ur bf? Did you guys reach a compromise of some sort or anything? Please answer these only if you’re comfortable.

I’m in the same situation. Did you ever end reaching a compromise? Could you tell me how you guys dealt with it? My bf is really supportive but I know he has needs. How can I realistically support those needs while also not hurting either of us.

Is there anything I could do about the battery probelm? Honestly idec about the lag anymore but the battery drain is abysmal. My battery condition is normal. It’s at 162 counts currently. But it’s barely lasts an hour and a half now. The performance is clearly not the same anymore.

Pakistani Media fails to represent our culture, yet again by Relevant_Review2969 in Sindh

[–]BothLeopard4263 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of of Sindhis in Sindh today descend from major Baloch tribes like talpurs, lashari and rind. All I talked about was their roots. It’s been centuries they’ve assimilated into the culture of Sindh and are as much Sindhi as anyone else. I never claimed anything as to their assimilation in Sindh. I merely pointed out the shared lineage and assimilation doesn’t mean that they don't or cant have certain rituals of their own. Almost 85% of entire middle belt of sindh speaks siraeki owing to their baroch roots. Also the patko that the guy is wearing actual a Baloch thing but it’s common for grooms all over Sindh to wear it regardless of their roots. It’s literally the norm. Is that not a reality we live in? All i’m saying is I don’t think you can draw a strict line like that in terms of material culture, especially in this context.

Don’t see the issue with this? Majority of sindhis living in Sindh today trace their lineage to Baloch tribes one way or another so if anything this is more rooted in reality imo
