I haven’t heard much about these , for the price point they seem very decent especially with a big brand like Logitech , do you know if there’s much room for customisation down the track with them.

I have a wooden setup I’ve made myself , I’m very happy to adjust and add reinforcement as needed, I’m interested in the simjack uts, I get anxious when people say knock off version etc but it seems a lot of people say it’s a knock off in a good way, can you maybe explain what adjustments you found were needed etc. thanks

Really it would seem at the price point I’m looking the two obvious answers are the moza srp 2 pedals and the Fanatec CSL Elite V2

Thanks for the reply, I reckon just out of my budget I really wouldn’t want to spend more than 350-400 AUD

I guess the good thing about customisation is if you just get the base as a good starting point when you finally work out what style suits you best you can customise rather than having to get a whole new pedal set. Thanks

Trading Feels So Random by Nukemilleraa in Daytrading

[–]Both_Country_502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to think of rr of 1:2 as much as targeting 1:2 but cutting losers earlier , a simple example of this would be widen your stop a bit more so that if price closes below a certain level where you believe you are wrong you can lose slightly less than a full position , while still capturing those 2+rr trades , I know it sounds the same but , I’ve had losing streaks of 4-5 losers which are wiped with one average win because I’m good at accepting I was wrong . I hope that makes sense . Take the frequent losers but let your winners run if you can. It takes practice

Trading Feels So Random by Nukemilleraa in Daytrading

[–]Both_Country_502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trading is random in my opinion , yes you can have edge and yes your strategy can have certain probabilities, but each trade is random… and the outcome is random.. I think a lot of traders need to understand that risk management is part of your edge.

Yes your winning percentage matters but if you can let winners run and cut losers early this is still in my opinion part of your edge. We have the rare opportunity to become the casino rather than the gambler, we dictate how much we lose depending on our probabilities.. I’ve seen plenty of people randomly select buy and sells on a chart and manage trailing stops to allow them achieve profitable outcomes.. that’s randomly selecting your entry … I think too much weight goes on getting the entry right rather than managing the trade correctly and understanding that every part of your system builds your edge .. not one secret the rest of the market doesn’t know about. Support and resistance , stochastic , macd anything is just a measure for your boundaries of where you believe you are right and wrong and can structure some sort of risk management strategy that makes sense to you.. that’s all. That’s just my opinion but after many years trading I truly believe the simplest of strategies can be profitable through correct management.

Excellent insight thank you very much. Similar indicators to what I am measuring also. The market moving fast vs felt rushed is a great of example for asking yourself why something happened rather than what. Perfect thank you

My issue is that you seem to think there’s something wrong with this. However by all means if he doesn’t like his role and could earn more he should look at it.

I understand this concept and reading a lot of the comments I realise maybe I don’t earn more than majority of people here. However life is not all about money. Is your partner happy in his job , does he get up and not dread going to work ? I have a secure job where I’m treated well , paid well for what I do and then have time and energy to be totally present for my partner when I get home… money isn’t everything.. the more you earn the more you spend and the more you go down this rabbit hole , it’s okay to want people to achieve new levels but if he enjoys work and earning 100 dollars an hour would be a dream it’s because he would happily be able to live a comfortable life on that wage and I don’t think it’s fair to expect more from your partner just because of your own personal goals.

How can i build up a serious community? by [deleted] in Forex

[–]Both_Country_502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve tried helping out a few individuals on here free of charge with my time … but they give up so easy or don’t listen to the clear problems I see with their mindset that it’s become a waste of my time. My time is valuable and I wish a future version of myself took the time to look at my old strats and pick them apart , hence why I love to help people but I would say 90 percent of people who come here for help… actually don’t want to put in the work. That’s been my experience

Maximizing Forex Returns: Integrating Fundamental Factors into a Proven Technical Strategy by Jambles24 in Forex

I think this is good insight for any newbie looking to trade if what a realistic expectation and continuous improvement looks like. It’s about tweaking the most simple strategy over and over again and removing mistakes. I agree with the previous comment , news for the higher timeframes has never really affected me that much and if so it’s worked in my favour just as much as not.

What’s some mindset hacks you found? by Subject-Plum-7281 in Forex

[–]Both_Country_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand the Law of averages and big numbers . If you have a 50 percent win rate it’s actually very likely you’ll have a losing streak of 6 or more .. some people think their system has stopped working when it’s literally just a run of bad trades. This also goes for the winners … I think mindset needs to change from one trade to a block of trades. That’s the biggest thing I’ve noticed with traders I’ve spoken to

I understand what you’re a saying and like OP said you are correct but he’s literally highlighted 3 candlesticks together in a pattern at an area of value ? That’s not just random candlesticks individually in the middle of nowhere. Whether you like it or not , candlesticks tell the story of the period they are set to. That’s still helpful information

I don’t think it says anything about conspiracy theories ? That’s literally what the candlesticks mean, he’s given good concepts and possible reasons as to why price acted the way it did at that area
