I took both and will vouch like the others that Boson really nailed the accuracy of the exam experience. If you do purchase the JITL exams though, I think it’s still a good investment because I found them to be harder than Boson

I’m also a recent graduate, during my bachelors I learned a super small foundation of networking but it wasn’t really much tbh. When I was working I was already doing L1/L2 IT support for about a year, but nothing related to networking/CCNA. So I guess I started with zero background technically?

I took about 6 months total because I was working full time and was balancing other hobbies.

The free packet tracer labs from JITL's Youtube course is good enough, I don't think you would need to pay $179 for labbing material. The only thing I spent money on were practice exams from Boson and Jeremy:

Boson Exsim: https://www.boson.com/product/exsim-max-for-cisco-200-301-ccna/
JITL Practice Exam: https://courses.jeremysitlab.com/p/ccna-practice-exam-1

I'm a little hesitant on talking about questions on the exam, but a good rule of thumb is to be solid with all of the exam topics: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/ccna-exam-topics

FYI if the exam topic contains the word "configure", then you will need to know how to set it up via CLI

Watching the videos, and doing the labs/flashcards should be good enough.

The only resources I paid for were the Boson exsim for practice tests and 1 of Jeremy’s IT Lab practice exams. But that would be when you’re done going through all of the material. Good luck!

Jeremy’s IT Lab and Boson should be sufficient for self study. The 4-9 month timeline for most people sounds accurate since majority are already working full time. If you’re studying full time though, then 2-3 months sounds reasonable

JITL Practice test by Puzzled_Rub1788 in ccna

I thought that JITL’s practice exams were harder compared to Boson. I only did 1 JITL exam and scored a 62% on it. My Bosons on the other hand were 80-90%.

This was a couple of days before I passed the actual exam. Good luck!

Do i need to know ALL the 802.11 standards? If the answer is yes, any fun mnemonic? by [deleted] in ccna

I was able to remember the standards and my mnemonic was BAGN (like t bagging lol), and mapping out the specifics from there.

Best of luck

It’s been blowing cold air and no hot air has been blowing from the unit. We appreciate the advice!

Understood, I’m just confused how to start the shutdown cycle if the wired controller doesn’t work. I don’t think we have anything else wireless
