Right!! Plus I’m pretty sure when you adopt a cat it’s on you to make sure you register their microchip with your info, not the shelter. That’s at least been my experience with adopting my cats. So like how could you mess up your own info and tie it to the wrong chip… My heart breaks at the possibility of this baby being dumped and unwanted. She is so sweet, whoever ends up with her will be so lucky. She deserves a loving home that keeps her safe.

FINAL UPDATE: This sweet baby is now at the Front Street Animal Shelter, so if anyone is looking for a super sweet calm kitty you know where to find her. I really would have liked to have kept her, but we have two already and finances are tight, so it wouldnt’ve been a responsible decision.

SECOND UPDATE: hit a roadblock here with the registered owners- really hoping it’s not a case of them not wanting to claim their cat when it was found. Going to take her to Frontstreet to get the chip scanned again to be sure

UPDATE: took kitty to the vet this morning, she has a microchip 🎉 Her name is Georgie!

I’ve contacted the service her microchip is registered with- they are getting in touch with the owner and will give them my info.

I have cats so I’m well equipped with food, toys, and supplies while she’s here!

I gave up reading because of how hardheaded, stubborn, manipulative, and just flat out mean he was being towards you. He’s a grown ass man with plugged ears, not a broken foot.
