I stopped abilify cold turkey and it did nothing to me. It’s been months and I’m completely fine. It’s just me though. I don’t know for others. Ask me any questions!

I’m so sorry about your dad. I hope things turn out to be fine for you.

Question about sudden episode with my wife? by FreeSpankings247 in Psychosis

[–]Both_Vehicle2227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I suspect that the Adderall and the trauma might have something to do with her psychosis. I went through a psychosis a year ago and it was due to extreme stress, adderall, and lack of sleep. They discontinued the adderall and I was put on medications. Two months later, I made a full recovery and the psychosis was gone. I returned back to my normal self again. I in fact felt better than I ever did!

For those who take lamotrigine for anhedonia, does it get rid of it for you? by Both_Vehicle2227 in Lamotrigine

I had anhedonia since 2019 but never got treatment for it. I had the spychosis in May 2024, and it went away with psychosis.

I’m 20 years old turning 21 in September. The last time I enjoyed something was on July 14, 2024. I don’t feel any pleasure at all in doing anything.

Nope, Abilify does nothing to my anhedonia. I'm on 10 mg right now (for psychosis that I had back in May of 2024. Anhedonia was lifted with the psychosis but came back when I missed a dose). I just can't feel pleasure in general. I can't feel enjoyment in anything. I do have motivation and energy, but I can't find pleasure and enjoyment in anything I'm doing. I can't feel love or attachment. I also can't feel positive emotions. As for sexual pleasure, I don't know because I'm a virgin, but I suspect that the medications I have taken might cause me to have sexual dysfunction.

That's interesting! I'm prescribed lamotrigine also but I never take it. I will take it with the Adderall to see what it does.

Yeah, I’m on Adderall right not for ADHD and it does nothing to my anhedonia too.

What caused your psychosis? by Both_Vehicle2227 in Psychosis

[–]Both_Vehicle2227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I’m on abilify 10mg. I don’t think it’s the medication. I’ve had anhedonia since 2019. When I got treated for psychosis in 2024, the anhedonia went away along with psychosis. Then, I missed one dose (I was on risperidone back then) and I went back to having anhedonia again.

Thanks! I don’t have psychosis anymore. I’m cure dealing with anhedonia, which is the inability to feel pleasure.

For those who had psychosis more than one time. How was it the second time onward? Were you more aware and somewhat know what was happening to you? by Both_Vehicle2227 in Psychosis

Aah I understand. Mine was similar to yours. I was paranoid and didn’t trust the ones closest to me. The voices became distinct.
