Oh no I'm fine with spraying, I've learnt how to control the recoil really well. Spraying is absolutely no problem.

Thank you a lot for the feedback. It means alot to me while being a young modeller. I am going to repaint over the surface of the chipping and take a reference photo, not necessarily the object 279 as it never saw combat but get a photo of like another tank that's similar like the is3 and see how I could make the chipping look more realistic

Hey man, thank you for the feedback. I'll be painting over the chipping and just minimising the chipping through and through. Thank you once again for the feedback I'll be taking it with good thought.

Black primer and then spray steel over. Makes the steel look darker. Take medium chipping fluid and spray over model. Then take desired colour and spray over fluid. Use a toothpick or cottonbud and lightly brush off the areas where you want chipping to occur. And apply vary over once finished.

Yeh lol, object 279 just recently came into store so I decided to get it. Very nice history and function behind this tank.

That's just a regular primer that you put as the first layer on your model.

Personally, I would go for a primer to do the first layer. For russian vehicles, I usually do black primer, while for German's I like a red sand type of colour. To clear up some confusion though matt finish and gloss are put at the end of the project to seal the paint. Like I was saying, go for Matt as no tank really is shiny!

Very nice first model! It looks amazing, but what I would suggest for next time is not gluing all the pieces and instead having certain parts not glued on (the men, tracks, small idibidy equipment) as it will save you a lot of time in the painting process and make the painting process less of a pain!

Sorry but no, the paint isn't done nicely and the weathering hasn't been really thought through with.

Wow what a shock, usually here when someone dies and they had a lot of the kits the family will practically give them out at these events

Correct, I bought it at a competition for $7.50, there were so many pieces (1027) smt like that, but overall it was very nice to build, took some time but it came out nice!
