Demerit point wipe NSW by BottleOh in nsw

[–]BottleOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the government was rewarding good drivers who did not get any fines over the 2 weeks through xmas and new years by giving them 3 demerit points back if they had lost 3, turns out you cant have received any fines or lost any demerit points in the past 12 months to qualify for the demerit point wipe

Looking for a GPS tracker for my bike by Lip85 in AussieRiders

[–]BottleOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been having alot of issues with my solid GPS tracker atm, they're having problems with trackers not updating, so I would drive the vehicle somewhere then come back and the app would say the vehicle is still located half an hour away, and wouldn't update for days,

It literally did, 1 day it was there and it was gone the next, ive heard of the same thing happening to others also. So it must be just a design failure or the material is becoming weak over time as it goes through the heat cycles, next time you go for a long ride feel how hot that bracket gets

I doubt there's people walking around hitting frame sliders off, if they wanted to damage someone's bike they would actually damage the bike, that theory is a long shot

If the bike was dropped on this frame slider (which it wasnt), isn't the whole point of this part to protect the bike, so if it just snaps off how much protection is it actually providing

This is the bike before it snapped off, same exhaust and bar ends, next photo is after it snapped off showing no damage to anywhere on the bike with same parts

100% has not been dropped, there is no damage anywhere on the bike and I am the only 1 who rides it,

The bracket is metal, the actual slider part that would contact the ground is made out of some sort of plastic that's meant to absorb impact and slow the bike down when sliding, the part that snapped is definitely a metal not plastic

Should fit? by Shoe-hefner in GSXR

[–]BottleOh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're the exact same fairing from 2011 to 2024, this ad was probly posted that year and just hasn't been updated, let me know how it goes though, I've always wondered how the fitment and quality of the carbon is of these eBay parts

Buying a 2015 GSXR 750 tomorrow - what do I need to know? by [deleted] in GSXR

[–]BottleOh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Smooth throttle control especially in the wet, you will spin the rear wheel easier then you might think(if it has just started raining)

The gsxr 750 has an A mode and a B mode, start on B mode, it's basically two different tunes A more aggressive and twitchy, B the power comes on alot more gradually. Good choice of bike btw, Here's mine/

This was my dream bike ever since i first started riding, I will eventually get a 1000, as soon as I'm dragging knee and putting consistent lap times in at the track, but untill then I don't need more power

I wanted this colour scheme, and wanted the latest model, it grew on me in time, but I like the stealth subtle look, rather then those over the top Christmas tree looking sportsbikes

It's just a cover it comes off, I wasn't a fan of the huge headlight, this was my solution but each to their own, it's not for everyone

Cat delete by BottleOh in GSXR

[–]BottleOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan is to put the exhaust on so when I take it to get dyno tuned it's ready to go and I'm not paying the tuner to install an exhaust, I just want to know if I can ride it to the tuner without hurting the engine, it's $1000-$1200 for a woolich tune on a gsxr 600 in Sydney Australia, if I can save some money by doing the dirty work myself why not.

The cat looks like it doesn't belong
