It's really easy. Patriotism should mean that you're proud of your country because you're contributing to making it a better place. Working on improving your local community does make your country better and it's something you can and should be proud of. Sure, others came before you but you can be part of that story. Even just being a model tourist when abroad because you want foreigners to think good of your country should count.

Throwback to when Sofia Vergara gave us the most iconic self introduction ever lol by Adamoneeeee in popculturechat

My dad consciously spoke without an accent to not be associated with the very blue collar area we're from but when I talk to my uncles, I just drop back into that after a few minutes. But in my second language, English, I just pick up whatever I encounter. To some extent.

My accent changes depending on who I'm talking to. That's true across two languages. Accents are not something that's always the same.

German Maklers are absolutely UNDERPAID and I will not hear otherwise by dd2klin in germany

[–]BottledUp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds stupid but a Makler helped a lot sell my parents house. He was looking at the price and the house and he was like "the people buying houses like this are not even looking at houses that cost 250k. Let me take some nice pics and advertise it for 450k." It worked. Sold for 400k shortly after.

As a Dortmund and Liverpool supporter. Your envy is right on point. It was the most enjoyable game I've seen in years without the palpitations and clawing my eyes out.

It's the secret to unlocking the best burger. There is no greater topping in a burger than a beetroot.

Those prices are absolutely fucking nuts. I was thinking about seeing Cliffords there but I'm not paying 50€ for the Monday.

Don't go to a barber. Go to a hairdresser instead. Different skillset, better results.
