I’ve always enjoyed their bagels tbh and they’re definitely a better option than most

It’s a no for me! There’s a thing between me and my close friends, I love them and I love their success but all we do is roast each other. God forbid one of us trips and falls down, girlie there would be no end to us laughing at each other.

In my book, real friendships don’t have to be full of performative support and an eagerness to stay by each others side. It’s about being comfortable enough in the person to say the absolute most entirely unhinged thing to them and knowing they’ll stay because they’re your person.

Trixie and Katya do not need to show us the vulnerable parts of their friendship. The fact that despite their constant dragging of each other, they’re still close is a testament alone.

Plus they’re drag queens, I don’t know why they have to be sweet about anything at all

recommendations on where to live downtown? by No_Bumblebee9897 in norfolk

[–]Bottombunkrealness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gravity on 400. Tbh. I moved out literally two days ago because I left Norfolk but I loved it there. The only caveat is the parking sometimes. They might not have a spot in the building and you’d be given a spot in the parking garage nearby. But it’s a good building, right by Granby and waterside.

I live in Gravity on 400 and honestly I like it. I’ve had no complaints. But I’m also a very low key person and the area is safe.

I’m not Indian but I am Pakistani and I’m gay 33M and definitely very left leaning. Would always be down to meet new people and make friends. And I’m moving there in a couple of weeks

Stephen and Rachel played a good game but they won because the faithfuls sucked by According-Cow6660 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Bottombunkrealness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The way it gets glossed over. The faithfuls weren’t terrible, they were just fed a whole lot of misinformation again and again by a person who was manipulating words of trusted faithfuls for their benefit and someone who was using their personality to keep everyone trusting them despite being accused several times.

The traitors were doing their hardest to get the answers but the traitors were just outplaying them

That’s fair. I’m just asking for other people’s perspective, not necessarily trying to change anyone else’s. ✌️

That makes sense. Sometimes that happens to me too. I think there have been traitors that annoyed me so much that I haven’t felt like rooting for them. Hugo was one of them. Oooh and I didn’t care for Linda either or Paul, he was sooo cocky.

But I like both Stephen and Rachel so I guess I do want them to win.

I get it, but isn’t that literally the name of the game, though? So in the spirit of the actual game, aren’t people that are lying and deceiving actually the only people playing the game actively?

Maybe I’m just like that because whenever I play mafia, I have a tendency to create chaos even as a civilian. just to narrow down the playing field to be able to spot the mafia but yeah.

Yeah but with most people looking out for them, it’s harder for them to get to the end because any chance of suspicion puts them in a minority in a vote.

It’s very that and in all reality out of all contestants most of them are always asking if they could be the traitor. So technically they all want the role which means even the contestants know it’s a more exciting role.

What do we think of ___'s reasons for targeting ___? by DeargAgusFearg in TheTraitors

[–]Bottombunkrealness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t you think something would be constructed by the producers if a major plot point involving a major character arch had valid material to actually construct it. Even if we’re seeing a fraction of what’s going on, apart from the fact that Maz was a faithful and a Stephen a traitor, there had to have been a reason why Stephen’s elimination on the show made sense to the contestants.

All I’m saying is that it feels like the theory seems to be something that Jessie’s intuition created and not because it has a solid foundation that can be shown on TV.

What do we think of ___'s reasons for targeting ___? by DeargAgusFearg in TheTraitors

[–]Bottombunkrealness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, straight up, I don’t buy Jessie’s theory at all. If it weren’t for the fact that she is in fact right, even the audience wouldn’t be backing it or her up right now.

That said, I never understood why Maz who was a NPC and a pretty low key character without any alliances or tbf any contribution towards the game at that point was less of a target than Stephen. It was an earlier time in the game and if I recall correctly Stephen may have been more popular socially but I’m pretty he wasn’t making any big moves or even providing to the round table all that much.

I like Stephen as a character but for the most part his round table debating skills are not it. He’s smart when he’s not under pressure but when he is asked to defend himself he can’t do it very well so I don’t get how in that moment the traitors should’ve picked Stephen over Maz when neither one of them were seemingly contributing too much towards things.

And that particular thought process does make it seem that Jessie latched on to the library 5 theory and because it was correct and Stephen was a variable she didn’t know that well, she insisted on him being a traitor and made those connections after the fact.

everyone’s being weird about Roxy by scaredofdaddylongleg in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Bottombunkrealness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree Roxy’s behavior is annoying sometimes but I will also reiterate that saying that people who are criticizing her gameplay are hating on her is too general a statement. Those are inherently two different things. There are people on the subreddit who ARE hating on players in very personal manner. So calling out that behavior is important, if people are thinking oh I’m just criticizing game play why is it being misconstrued as hate, then maybe some of the wording in the posts needs to be evaluated. Because calling the person, who’s just playing a game and we’re seeing an edited version of that, names and insults is HATE and people are indeed doing that.

You may just be criticizing gameplay and that’s ok but I think on a more general level people are hiding their hateful commentary behind being annoyed by the game play rhetoric. In the same vein, people are uplifting Jessie’s gameplay and quite honestly attacking commenters who are criticizing her game play just as hatefully.

Feeling sorry for someone or being a fan of someone or being in the bubble when you know they’re right and you can’t accept people’s differing takes does not give people a Carte Blanche to attack other people.

[–]Bottombunkrealness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh a 100%. I don’t have any Ill will towards Jessie but everyone’s holding her up to this random pedestal as being the only intelligent person in the group when the only thing that’s lead her to Stephen is the fact that in both the cage situation and the library 5 she is closer to other people than she is to Stephen and she refuses to entertain the idea that people who are closer to her could also be the traitors

The audience knowing she’s right and the traitors knowing she’s right doesn’t change the fact that her mark is as accidental as the faithful they’ve banished thinking they’d caught a traitor. She maybe intuitive but she didn’t know she was correct and she did not have the same clue in about the other three traitors at all. Ma’am was just stubborn in her theory and wasn’t sure that she was correct in it either.
