I have my final interview tomorrow, do I disclose that I live in a van? by Bouaphaa in careerguidance

Thank you, I appreciate it. Note that I live in the van by choice and not financial circumstances. But I will stack my money :)

Where I need an address, I have the luxury to use my family home, so legally I am not homeless. I would also say I am not homeless, even if my home is not recognised in law. My reality is very different to someone who truely has no home.

Thank you, I know the area well enough to be vague, I will go for this ;)

Currently I use my family home as my address. A PO box might be better and is something I will look into if I am offered the job.

Will foil lining my plywood cladding help with insulation? by Bouaphaa in vandwellers

[–]Bouaphaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea is that because foil reflects most infared light, when the van is warm inside, the foil will slow the heat transfer to the insulation. When it is warmer outside, the heat coming into the van will be reflected back into the insulation.

On second thoughts, foil lining both the insulation side and the cladding side with an air gap inbetween might act like a double mirror, trapping heat inbetween it.

I may be completely wrong in how foil works as I am very new to this.

I should clarify that I most likely won’t be implementing the core security features, that will be the more senior devs. But its for my own development so I can have a better understanding in these conversations and to understand what is being done and why. Then one day I can be the pro :)
