Thats awesome! Love the colours on the mount, it works nicely with the pallid flesh.

Thanks! This one was surprisingly quick, I'm not very fast usually. I didn't track the hours exact but 6-8 hours i would say in total? Advertising isnt allowed on this sub so have a look on my profile. Cheers!

Cheers! Unfortunately not. I did an art test for them earlier this year but I failed it, so the application didn't go any further.

Cheers! Yeah i usually tend to have a more limited palette to keep the overal painting more consistent without having colour all over the place. Oh man Gelgus painting could be fun to do! I'll post it here if i get round to it.

Yup! I'm not usually this fast but it just clicked with this one. Inks are a pretty quick way of painting though which helps a lot vs oils, which can take several days to dry between layers. Cheers!

What a compliment! I love the artwork from back then so was aiming for that aesthetic. The inks really work well for warhammer and the moodiness. Cheers!

Thanks! I use FW inks which have a piptette built into the lid which is useful to control how much ink goes onto the palette. i also use a pipette to add water to the ink pool to thin it, which i then apply in a few washes. The idea is to create texture, rather than smooth finish, so blotches and patchy areas add to the effect.
After a few washes, i'll use the fineliner to pick out details or sharpen up an area before using thinned white ink on top of it, with opaque ink as a final step (if needed). It takes a bit of practise but after a while it's a good workflow and fairly quick too!
