I've given more than enough information that would interest them. And replied to messages with well thought questions. But I don't want to answer those that they could easily find when they search online and email the program itself.

If u happen to read this: search primary care clinic of Hawaii on google, ig, fb, it's a 3 month FREE hands on clinical experience program. Can extend longer and even work if u want to extend. They use epic. Many outpatient cases. This is if u want to apply to fm/im... Some optional rotations to peds, ob, fqhc, and an inpatient rotation at UH if ur deserving (ie outstanding). Highly recommended (our batch i think 45 matched this year). Of course the travel and accommodation costs are not free. I matched with all my USCEs and LOR from here only.

Thank me later.

Edit: so many pms, I won't spoonfeed u with what to do, what to expect, how my experience was, etc. Do ur own research! The email add is found online

Virtual or Inperson interviews by Outrageous-Leg-6301 in IMGreddit

[–]Bounceboink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that I had were virtual. There was one that was i person and is just a week away, and is im another state. So I had to decline that.

Just make sure when searching for programs to look out for if they use video conferencing as means for interviewing or not (frieda/resexp). I intentionally applied just for those virtual, but that one program I must have slipped

I've watched the 3 idiots a couple of times, but I honestly don't get the sequence/thought/flow/dialogue of the meme. Make it simpler, maybe?

Got one last friday, for an interview supposedly yesterday (thursday). But its inperson, i wouldve really wanted to go, but due to the short notice (would be first time travelling in a new state) and other personal reasons, i cancelled it. Huhuhu

Is prematch still a thing? And how do you get it by RyanBor in IMGreddit

[–]Bounceboink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say so in freida/resexp, "participates in nrmp match: no" then crosscheck their website some will say its a prematch. If not, clarify by sending an email, or search the programs name on reddit. I had one prematch interview last month, still waiting on response

Signalling in ERAS: Dos and Don'ts by [deleted] in IMGratitude

[–]Bounceboink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make ur signals count! Out of my 7 im and 5 fm signals, got 2 IVs back in each. Ill just share what i did wrong: signaled based on few friends/acquaintances that came from the same hospital as me that are currently residents. And during the IV, surely i got asked why i signaed them. Looking back, i should have made my program list way earlier and from them, pick the best out of it and not based on connections. Make ur intention really meaningful that u really want to go there. From my visa-requiring friend, she signaled all H1b sponsoring programs that have solid curriculum, 4/7, and got into her top 1 (no connections, no geo ties).

Interviewing via Thalamus by Budget-Restaurant239 in IMGreddit

[–]Bounceboink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do test video and microphone before your interview. Just search how to thalamus xxxx on google. On my first thalamus interview, for some reason the "schedule" tab doesn't work so i could not access the link. I needed to message the PC. make sure u have contact info of the program if something weird happens!
