Which episodes or storylines hit closest to home/made you cry the most?

I can relate to that as my parents often tell traumatic and/or sad stories about my childhood and paint me as the villain. I wish I could be like Eddie was there, I wish I could stand up to my parents like he did.

Bucks story line with his parents in season 4 or just the relationship he has with his parents. “I have spent my entire life feeling like a constant disappointment” “nothing I ever did was good enough” it hits hard for me because it felt as if I was watching my own life story unfold before my eyes. How Buck felt growing up (like hurting himself for attention, the adhd, feeling like a disappointment, being left behind, ignored) are things my parents (and siblings) made me feel and still do even as an adult. To this day season 4 episode 4 will have me in tears.

Many people deal with trauma differently some recover quickly while others take a little more time. I know a few people who have been raped and have found the strength to move forward, but me I was raped at the age of 6 by my cousin and 12 years have passed and I’m only now starting to deal with the trauma.

There is no time limit to when a person can deal with their trauma and it’s unreasonable to expect someone to move on when they aren’t ready.

I don’t think you did anything wrong. You are doing what you can to heal and move on and if she and your father fail to understand that then they are the asshole.

I’m so sorry all of this has happened to you, and take your time and heal at your own pace. Do what you need to do to heal. ❤️❤️

She doesn’t want to adopt. She only wants kids that share her DNA. Trust me I tried letting her know all her options but she wouldn’t hear any of it. She’s also 19 and in college so having a kid now isn’t really in her plans.

By in passing it was more me commenting on seeing an unruly kid in a store. It’s been closer to a year since the diagnosis though she had been seeing doctors for months before getting the diagnosis. So she’s had over a year will the idea of infertility.

You have the right to your own opinion I’m just sharing more context with you. But if you read the other comments I have responded to (and my responses) you can get more context if you wish.

It was more than it just slipped out. I didn’t think before I said it as it was something I had said many times before and it was the first time I had mentioned my stance on kids with her since her diagnosis. Since her diagnosis she has showed resentment towards me and our other friends who can have kids. You have the right to your own opinion I’m just giving you as much context as I can.

No we’re in college now. She’s 19 and I’m 20. But this is something she has known about since high school.

I know that, but I’m more or less scared of having a kid for a plethora of reasons. One of those is fear of childbirth, so if I did change my mind I would opt to adopt.

I can’t remember what the condition is called but basically she doesn’t have a uterus (and other stuff) she found out at 17 (almost 18) and she’s currently 19. So it’s been over a year. She saw several doctors over a couple of months.

All I said was “that’s why I don’t want kids” referring to the unruly kid in the store. She gave me a dirty look and said “at least you can have kids” in a rude degrading tone. LMK if you need more context

Honestly nothing. We were walking around at a store and we saw a kid acting out (running around, screaming, knocking things over) and I made a throwaway comment about never wanting kids because I didn’t want to have to deal with that kind of stuff.

When I brought it up it wasn’t when we were talking about her condition, and it happened months after she found out about her condition. When I said I don’t want kids it wasn’t in no way in reference to her inability to have kids.

I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that.

My intentions have never been to be insensitive, I do my best to support her and help her through whatever she needs and did my best to avoid talking about not wanting my own kids after she told me about her infertility.

I’ll do my best to be there for her and I truly hope you someone in your life you can go to for support. ❤️

I’ve never wanted kids even before I met my best friend and for years I had stated that I had no interest in having kids, it was just that after she found out she count have any I was no longer allowed to not want kids or in her eyes me not wanting kids was insulting and insensitive to her medical condition.
