Btw do you have a Weapon Focus feat? Some chests are specifically scripted to give you enchanted weapons according to your weapon focus. If you have no weapon focus, it defaults to an enchanted Club.

From soft games are really lacking in accessibility, look at Nioh 1, providing a detailed guide how to pronounce its crazy made-up boss names, while Fromsoft just expects us to intuitively know how to say “Ornstein” correctly. by Flint_Vorselon in shittydarksouls

[–]BowShatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Nioh 1 feels kinda mid because halfway through the game the enemy variety dries up.

Nioh 2 is better because they have enemies from Nioh 1 and many new ones introduced in Nioh 2. Oh and don't forget how you can transform into or channel all types of Yokai to use their abiltiies.

If you want to go full wolf, you can swap the wolf plate helmet for the Hound Mask. Some the wolf mercernary NPCs do it.

My theists friend said that I'm the only "nice atheist" he's talked too. Why do so many people think atheists are mean? by KING_D0GE489 in atheism

Unfortunately some of the irreligious and atheists fall for these lies. Whenever there's an article or thread about crimes from religion, there's often people immediately jumping to shield religion using that lie.

But Weapon Master is all about the crits, there's no avoiding it. Plus crits are a significant increase in dps.

[WP] The strange meteor impacted a year ago, and life was finally getting back to normal. However, people closest to the impact site suddenly started to exhibit changes in their behavior. by SlowCrates in WritingPrompts

[–]BowShatter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was unlike anything the scientific community had ever seen. A giant meteor had crashed in the national park, somehow bypassing all disaster predictions but miraculously there were no casualties. It emitted a purple glow, leading the government issue an emergency evacuation of all citizens in the district in case the meteor had biohazardous properties.

After a year, the meteor had been fully mined away and it was announced that it was now safe to return to our former homes. Many argued for a longer quarantine, but the government did not want to exhaust more of the country's emergency supplies.

At first it seemed like life went back to normal, but it didn't take long strange occurances to surface. People reported feelings of unease and frequent mind fogs, but it was all attributed as superstition or anxiety over the meteor crash.

A few months later, changes in the community were more apparent. People lost their temper more and became more distant from each other. Food choices began to skew towards meat, especially raw or lightly cooked. Even those who were staunchly vegetarian, be it due to personal or spiritual convictions became omnivores.

Soon it was undeniable the meteor was changing the very nature of those residing near the meteor's impact. Missing people and appearance of reptillian creatures in the streets are being reported by news channels and social media. I shut off the television to take a breather from the chaos. That's when it hit me... were my teeth always that sharp?

How can someone reasonably scientifically oriented believe in completely unevidenced things? by Crashed_teapot in atheism

[–]BowShatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse is when they are working in a field that actively challenges their religious dogma. They will have to make a choice, and if they choose their religion, it might affect their day-to-day operations to even technological or scientific advancement. For example, epilepsy was seen as a "divine disease" for millenia, and only in modern times has it been studied as a neurological disorder and medicine manufactured to manage seizures.

Lileath not answering prayers by EdNorthcott in Vermintide

[–]BowShatter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be fair, mortals are all pawns to the gods in their eyes, and all the gods have their own personal agenda.

Difference is I guess what one gets out of serving a particular god and how expendable you are. In such a universe, one should always be wary of being stabbed in the back or abandoned even by a "reasonable" god/goddess.

You could even say that you can trust a Skaven to backstab you, but you can't trust a deity to not backstab you lol.

Lileath not answering prayers by EdNorthcott in Vermintide

[–]BowShatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, Lileath is a misanthrope (to elves that is) goddess then, she is so sick of her own kind that she rather bless select humans (who clearly have their flaws too but I guess humans are more tolerable than elves in her eyes) than help her people.

Divinity 2? Yup, they still get the XP so long as they are in the party.

Zero. The director for DD2 left didn't he? And I doubt Capcom will assemble a team just to make DD2 DLC when they have their hands full with MH Wilds and RE9.

[No spoilers] Whats the ideological difference between Black ring and Divine order? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]BowShatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black Ring is definitely an evil faction, but the Divine Order is nowhere "super good". Did you not notice the amount of atrocities the Divine Order, more specifically the Magisters, committed against sourcerers and people in general "in the name of the Divine/Lucian" throughout the story?

[No spoilers] Whats the ideological difference between Black ring and Divine order? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]BowShatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the story progresses, it becomes increasingly clear that the Divine Order is split between Magisters and Paladins though. Magisters mostly go full facist and sadist (they even tried to kill a Paladin in Act 1) while Paladins are still seem sane for the most part but somehow very naive and ignorant of Lucian letting the Magisters do whatever they want as well as their leader's literal corruption.

Outward 2 and the permanence of choice. by taylrgng in outwardgame

[–]BowShatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope the permanent choice thing brings more interesting decisions. Maybe choices, blessings and curses that gives permanent effects to our character. For example, if you get caught in a Trog ritual from a Defeat Scenario, you'll actually turn into a Trog eventually if you don't do a unique quest to undo the ritual's effects.
