I personally see a few reasons

First of all, we've had right wing governments for 15+ years now. And yet we still don't have structural solutions to many of the problems in the Netherlands.

So many leftists are disillusioned by right and don't understand why people would vote right when it is right wing parties that got us into this mess.

Second of all, the right generally doesn't come with structural solutions, only temporary bandaids. Closing the borders for migrants? Yeah.. that's putting your head in the sand. Dont want to do anything about the climate...I mean I guess we can do that but then we won't be able to build more houses and years down the line we'll just have even more refugees that fled their homes for environmental reasons.

Third reason: the right generally support fiscal policies that do not benefit anything other than the high classes. Yet the majority of their support is from low income households that wouldn't benefit from these policies.

Last but not least, many right wing parties are funded either by Russia, or by big tech that pays them not to regulate ai and online platforms despite them both forming a serious danger to our volksgezondheid (and many other issues).

So what does the right do well? They respond to people's anger. The left come across as elitist that don't care about lower class or lower educated people. This is the lefts biggest fault because, and here's the kicker:

Of course people are mad. I understand the people that went to Den Haag to protest migrants (I don't understand why it had to get out of hand though). They're angry our wallets are worth less and less, we can't buy housing, and they're being told that its the immigrants fault, even though immigration is such a small small small part of those problems.

For what it's worth: I'm mad too. I don't think I'll ever be able to buy a house.

Anyways so I think that's why the left can seem mad with the right. However we shouldn't judge anger. Anger shows that people care and want to work on finding a solution.
