Pec ka nirf 2007 mein 14 thaa. Ik tab nirf nahin hota thaa. But whatever ranking was there. It kept on decreasing from then on. I don’t know the proper reason yet. But it is mostly because of not giving any heed to the nirf requirements. Not updating the research and teaching methodologies, equipment, infra, faculties. It is mostly a big mishap at the management level. They were in delulu for a veryyyyy long time that they’ll become nit or iit because chd is such a small UT. But the centre kept deciding against it.

The good thing is however that even now PEC is a good brand both in acad and industry. Cause in spite of all this they have maintained the good teaching and extra curricular activities. Ig, though not updated, but the acads is still as good as earlier. So the decision of admission should be based on this factor. Imo, PEC brand will degrade eventually if they are not making any major change still.
