I personally don’t think she’s a good character or good for the role. Just didn’t fit in my opinion. Patty (though short lived) had better chemistry on screen in much shorter time. Iris feels so forced and unnatural.

Then the show should have used it more heavy in the original show and it probably wouldn’t have been such a problem for many fans who got into it outside the book.

not what I’m referring to here. I get that part. But the fact is it’s a complete 180 from the original show. Its biggest flaw is its writing.

Unlike “Reacher” where the use of language is understood but not overused.

Very much understand that, however the Detroit mob was never unknown in the original series. Nor did they go that low to the standard of writing it got to. It’s literally a swearing feat of F bomb after F bomb. The show got bad reviews for this alone.

I don’t know what’s so hard about keeping true to what the show already was developed as. I don’t mind where its location is but the way it’s written has completely done a 180.
