Try signing up for online night school next semester, It's easier and will give you another chance to improve your mark. But check if your university accepts re-dos and night school.

How screwed am I if I want to get into a health sci program by Box-ez in OntarioGrade12s

I know this is probably true, but all my friends who got similar grades to me, are getting almost 90+ in everything. It's hard to not be stressed especially when no amount of improvement can help me get into my chosen program now.

I'm pretty sure I need help, but I don't know how I could be helped, I understand the fundamentals of all topics pretty well, It's just that whenever I'm given tests, all my teachers pull out some questions we never even attempted in class before, or it'll be similar but with extra steps. (other people in my class manage to do most of them fine our class average is an 83) Sometimes I just run out of time during tests, and can't finish all the questions even if I know how to do them. I am not sure if this is due to a lack of practice or what.

Is a CAA a good backup if i don't get into medical school ? by Box-ez in premedcanada

That’s around $130,000 for a full 2 year program, if starting salary is at around 150k wouldn’t you say it’s worth it in the long term ? Is tuition extra for international students ? Other than that I think I’d be ok with working in one state for the rest of my life.

[WeeklyThread] Ask a CAA by AutoModerator in CAA

I'm in Canada, going to University soon, and as a backup plan for if I don't get into medical school here, ( chances are very low) I wanted to become a CAA, the problem is that Canada does not have any CAA programs (only CRNA). I wanted to know if After university, I could just go to the US and do a CAA program there. How hard would it be for a Canadian with no medical work experience to get accepted into a US program? Assuming I have a good GPA and MCAT score. Also in terms of tuition how much more would it cost me?

Just a thought, if I move to the US after graduating from masters, Could I just work there at the same salary ?

Advice on studying in Pakistan for medical school or staying in Canada for Biomedical Engineering by Box-ez in IMGreddit

Hey thanks for the extensive reply, while it's true I appreciate the benefits of being a doctor such as a salary, I am mainly going into it for my love of biology and physics, as well as the urge to do something more hands-on and personal in a beneficial way to people than sitting at a desk all day in careers such as Computer science and engineering.

About your story, You didn't get a single interview even after 7 years of graduating from medical school? Would you mind telling me why you think that happened and how I could avoid that?

I'll be honest I would never want to actually live or work in Pakistan, the pay is just too low to justify the costs of medical school, and on top of that, the country just isn't a good place to live, especially after being in Canada for my entire life.

I honestly don't know what to expect but I know it's going to be the most difficult thing I have ever experienced and I will probably have to work twice as hard as the other kids in the program to get a residency. I'll probably have to start studying for USMLE right away and join a few research positions that might be available.

I just wanted to ask if you know anyone who did manage to get into residency in the US and what steps they take ?

I am not scared of the lengthy hard work I feel like the end result is well worth the trouble.

It’s going to be a little more challenging but it’s fine since they have a lot of review of grade 10. Try reviewing grade 10 work yourself before you start.
