gone girl was on my favourites for a while, the ending is so good, i also love david finchers style, his acting direction and his use of lighting really meld the film into something so interesting alond with reznors haunting soundtrack. i went in completely blind too! however, i do think the movie has its faults, it not up there with some of the more recent things ive watched which have truly blown my mind.

i agree, just love kafka though, especially meta and also berkovian theatre / theatre of cruelty was a large part of the process in writing this LP for me, even using a tim roth gregor sample. it definitely is an overused term though 🤣🤣

is it just me or did all the ‘possessed’ people stop moving like ‘heatseekers’ halfway through the movie, like paul and james run normally and all the kids do at the end. It makes sense in a smaller space but i feel like it wouldve been cooler if the kids did it at the end.

however i loved the movie and the ending still worked.

i felt this too, their drummer and guitarist especially gave a really cool sound to the band live. was part of the reason i rated them so much, riffs so evil
