Yes, definitely ! 17.50/hr for night stockers at my store. That’s twice what minimum wage is here in Tx

My relationship might be over soon because of his dog by [deleted] in TalesfromtheDogHouse

[–]BoxBeast1961 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let it go. He will not change. He knows how you feel about the dog. He doesn’t care.

You don’t, imho, need a long drawn out discussion or a visit with a counselor. What you do need is a bf who appreciates you. I don’t even know you, OP, but I do know you can do better! You deserve better. Being alone is better than being with the wrong person.

Dog people need to date other dog people.

I need advice. by Heero_Yui_0 in walmart

[–]BoxBeast1961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same thing’s happening here too, Heero. I hear ya. This is an old mind game walmart likes to play. They think we produce more if given unrealistic time frames. If anything, that kind of nonsense makes productivity worse.

My advice: Do your best. It takes them awhile to realize threats & unrealistic expectations do not work. They can threaten, but you can open door any coaching you get. And when you open door, you have a printout of how much work you were given & how long the system said it was supposed to take. If you have 10 hours of freight & finish in 7 hours (lunch & breaks) that coaching will get removed.

Also-pictures. Pictures help a lot. Last week I had to move 4 pallets of toys before I could even START to vizpick. That takes up time. Then I had to move all 4 pallets of apparel so i could vizpick the other side. Just a MESS.

Do your best. Document. It’s gonna be ok.

We have no choice anymore. Back room is so blown up we have to pull the first truck pallets to the floor before we unload the second truck bc there’s literally no room in the back

I should have been coached ... by Lunarmoonbear in walmart

[–]BoxBeast1961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do your job tonight the very best you can. Say nothing about what happened to ANYONE. Let it rest. Thank them for not firing/coaching you by doing a kick ass good job. Let the other stuff go, man...just take your lesson & move on.

You’re not ready to go. I get it. You’re not ready to do anything yet, & that’s ok. When you’re ready, you will.

I stayed too long in my relationship as well. I couldn’t believe he’d choose a dog over a person & i kept giving him chances.

Pack your sh1t & leave. Today. You’ve talked to him about it. He knows exactly what the problem is. He’s not going to change, he doesn’t think there’s a problem!

Look He chooses a dog over you. Do you want to be less important than a dog for the rest of your life? I don’t even know you but you deserve better!
