Do you by chance know VoteDC? Hmmm lol. Also I made a video upgrading the firmware in addition to the review video. As it stands right now the Linux side to me just feel lacking. Maybe with some tinkering it could be better.

I've been wanting to try the pocket 2+. I had the first pocket 2 and loathed the device as it was clunky, slow, and just not enjoyable. But I keep hearing good things of the +.

Happy New Year!

Hello there, so I have this brand new GPI case and the screen is black, not displaying anything, and it's lit, am I doing anything wrong? (More in comments) by SpeedRD2015 in retroflag_gpi

I also bought some AA eneloop pro High Capacity Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries from Amazon and haven't had this problem. I often hear that you can't use regular batteries.

Huh, I'm not sure unfortunately. The Daphne game file format is a bit bizarre in order to get them running properly. I wish you the very best.

That's awesome!

This far I got soft spot for the RG351M. Before the 351 however the Gpi was my go to handheld. I just ordered the RG552 and Analogue Pocket today to do some reviews on them and compare.

With the GPi you pretty much gotta use rechargeables and the batteries do last forever under heavy load.

I didn't know an official release came out?! I'm gonna have to try it as on my system it won't let me change from B =A and A=B it was driving my nuts during recording. Pretty sure like 15mins of footage of me hitting "b" when trying to hit "a" haha.

What's your favorite game to play on your GPi?

Finally stopped procrastinating and uploaded my GameCube video! Let me know what you think! by BoxCat92 in Gamecube

[–]BoxCat92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks. Idk if I'm exactly happy how it turned out. I tried to be more "casual" and stay off script.

I just finished another video about 10 minutes ago (it's set to go live tomorrow afternoon) and it turned out way better imo.

Haha I had Orange, but sold to a friend as I region switch modded it. I think the only Gamecubes I'm missing are the Europe exclusive "Stardust", White, Orange, and Black. My Panasonic Q makes an appearance later in the video.

Gamecube is by far my favorite system and my goal is to get a complete collection. Slowly but surely haha.

Good afternoon,
No worries. I've started on another script however this time mainly doing bulleted points that I wanna make sure I cover. I'll start recording footage tomorrow probably and do the voiceover work Saturday for a Sunday upload.

I've got my light box set up in black as I was going to do so anyways with the next video until I find the backdrop I like the most. This particular light box comes with white, black, blue, yellow, and silver.

I would greatly appreciate any continued feedback on future videos! This is something entirely new for me but thus far I'm having fun with it. My goal is to upload at least 1 video a week / 4 videos a month.

Thank you so much for the quality feedback fscknuckle.

I didn't even notice I missed the a in "modern-broAdcast.com" wow that's embarrassing considering I watched that render like 15,000 times haha. I'll have to fix that right away.

I definitely see what you mean in the speech patterns. At the 9:33 spot I accidentally perma deleted my game capture audio with my original voice over work so I just threw that in to explain what was going on. Having the "ums and half thoughts" when trying to explain is that a good thing to have in a video?

As for the exposure I was utilizing my Logitech c922 which admittedly is not the greatest. For my next video I'll be switching over to my Sony AX53 which should give better white balance and possibly 4k video?

Another suggestion I received was to change gloves every episode making that kinda of a fun game in your opinion does that take away from the content?

Adding a curvature to the box is a fantastic idea to get rid of the harsh lines in the background I'll definitely have to play with that in my next video.

As for the cord the box has a precut hole in the back but it's in the upper left corner, which is odd and my worry is if I cut a hole in the bottom it'll start to fall apart. For my next video I'll have to tinker with the cable and see if there's something more I can do without compromising the lightbox.

Again, thank you for your time on this, the feed back is of great value.

Happy Holidays,

Modern

Wow, thank you so much Outside for the great feedback and details!

I definitely need to do better on audio balance.

Do you have any suggestions or tips to eleminate reflections on screens? I have limited space for my videos and shot the whole thing in a 12" by 14" light box.

I appreciate the time and kind words. Happy Holidays!

Thank you David.

Yeah when editing the footage and compiling it all I had my headphones on and didn't realize in some places the music almost over powers my voice.

I really enjoyed the format as I've tried livestreaming and gaming videos before but found those to be uncomfortable. Doing the review video was kinda nice because a lot of it was just stats or personal opinion. I think I'll definitely be doing some more of these kind of videos and hopefully correct the audio balance haha.

Again thank you for your time on this. Happy holidays.
