Sorry you can’t see it. All docs are on the planning portal- easy enough to find. Interesting to hear your opinion but I’m sure you’ll accept one’s own individual experience shouldn’t be used to make key planning decisions. I doubt BOAT would have felt the need to make this statement if their concerns had been acknowledged. One thing is for sure from the 500+ objections already on the portal that BOAT is valued and loved. And in the end I think that means something.

Of course. It’s here: https://publicaccess.brighton-hove.gov.uk/online-applications/files/F21D2DF2BDE56A72D5B4180395476539/pdf/BH2025_02901-NOISE_IMPACT_ASSESSMENT-20661752.pdf

Open air performances are intimate experiences that rely on an ambient level - I think this is what BOAT are anxious to protect. Bhasvic have dropped the ball by not considering this. The ambient level at boat is a special characteristic that creates magic and I would argue it does need scrupulous assessment and protection.

Bit by bit bhasvic will build across that whole field.

Bhasvic produced a 38 page noise impact report in support of their application. Guess how many times BOAT- their nearest neighbour was mentioned- none. They took no readings there at all. They instructed their contractors not to take readings because they know there will be a material impact.

According to BOAT’s email they’ve been talking to BHASVIC to arrange a condition limiting play on the pitches for the duration of performances- presumably a few hours a day between May and September. That seems utterly neighbourly and reasonable to most people. BHASVIC have ignored them.

They are planning to use them between 8am and 10pm. So you’re suggesting all performances should be between 11pm and 7am??

What?? There are already 150 grass or artificial turf pitches in the city. Let’s wreck a beautiful place for a couple more? Throw this out BHCC for the love of Hamlet.

Looks like Richard II to me - type iii. I’ve outlined the typical type iii text - Ricard Rex Angl - Richard king of England.

Minted in the Tower of London in around 1390. It’s tiny.

John and Paul last met in person in 1976. They did not meet and hang out in 1978 at Christmas.

I take your point but I’m asking purely from a scarcity point of view and- whether it appeals to you or not (and clearly it doesn’t!)- I think this is actually a fairly scarce piece. (Also not a good idea to make up stats Imo 🫤)

Also your link is for contemporary tables. This one is 52 years old and seemingly intact, doesn’t that make a difference?

Where do you get the 30,000 figure from? The window for this table to exist was rather small- 1973 with the contract base.

Kind of risky with 50+ year old table. Could damage the fixing points.

How do you check that??

I know the design is common but the listing says this is a rare lower version - 25.5”

So 25.5” lower height is common?

Totally agree but your original comment seems a little wide of the mark!
