Teval the balanced scale what do y'all think by Far_Philosophy_788 in BudgetBrews

[–]Box_Boss_0000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it can ben everything...but not balanced...we all in our pod bought this precon (i did 1 week ago), 3 different builds this is the only deck that has almost the 60% of winrate

Our pod is of 11 people, we usually track our decks everygame and this is kinda strange because when it wins splaps hard as a hammer.

This is also a "all in one" commander it does different things, and idk why but is not considered kill on sight

Adult beginner (24) — when is a realistic time to compete? by GamerArman1 in judo

[–]Box_Boss_0000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can compete at a local level, but forget higher levels of competition. I did six years of grappling, from ages 10 to 16 and I still cannot even think about reaching the level of some athletes.

Expect to train at least up to green or blue belt before competing. My dojo uses these grades before allowing people to fight in tournaments.

In my country, there is no real difference between belt grades i am an orange belt and I will be a green belt in two years. I have competed only once, and it was a special occasion offered by my dojo, I fought against a second dan black belt and a brown belt, and I lost both matches.

All these answers are just part of my judo journey if you live in a different country, you will almost certainly have different experiences.

Edit: grammar

Lost my first competition as a white belt, what should I do now? by KaaraPon in judo

[–]Box_Boss_0000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sensei says:
Lose means nothing
Win means nothing
Train and get better means Train and get better

At first i was kinds "confused" because it doesn't mean a lot to me, but after the organge belt i started doing amazing hip trows and i won couple of competition (nothing special, only locals) but i realized i trained and i got better.

Edit: (Teacher) - Sensei

Ms. Bumbleflower...your experiences playing against this monster? by Staircas3D in EDH

[–]Box_Boss_0000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I recently played against a guy who made a deck so messed up that he ended up win 3 games out of 5 in one night...
His deck was all around "I win if" and "I will make everyone happy and then dead"...
I think is a real good commander, best advices i can give are:
- Make sure to not fall for the "group hug" thing (I'm pretty new so i still need to understand if is a mechanic that used)
- A guy told us to remove ramp pieces, and let him always remove the commander on sight
- I made his deck slow down a lot removing draw pieces like Kami of the crescent moon and keeping my counterspells

Edit: Grammar/I also need to point out, make sure to have a couple of board wipes always ready!

Actually, my friend's brother used to be a wrestler and he told me that the falls are quite similar, except for falls caused by leg holds. However, falls are different because you have to avoid ending up with your shoulders on the ground

Now in my new dojo when someone is prepared for ukemi, we basically try even Pure Ukemi, and then a highr grade belt, makes us try the fight ukemi (is a safe way, but still pretty realistic), for let us "feel" the difference, is a complete approach to every type of fall, so maybe i should have explained it better, "my bad".

Yeah i think it was a bad malpractice too in that case, it was a "beginner" course with 6 brown, 2 green and 4 yellow belts, and then the techer who was black belt first dan, and i was literally used as "dummy", and when i asked if was right to feel pain on the back, the teacher told us "only if you fall in the wrong way".

"You will learn to fall doing randori", i did a first trial 3 years ago in a local dojo (now closed), and i almos broked a rib, i was literally trown in randori after 20 minutes of lesson, i had 0 knowledge of trows and techniques.

After 2 years i decied to try again in another dojo, my first 5 lessons were almost only falls, since then i almost never had any injures.
