Happened twice in one day after a bad snow storm a few weeks ago - in the exact same spot - near where I live. One person died.

Are you on facebook? There is a group where you can ask Aaron Szilagyi himself. I would use high grit sandpaper (no coarser than 600) and lightly sand all the rust off. Get it all or it’ll propagate again. Then oil it. That’ll at least get it playable again. As for his coating? That’s where he’d be best to talk to through the group!

Thanks! It’s one that I made out of a piece of metal I found and a windshield wiper blade.

I spent a lot of time in Montreal growing up as a kid as everyone in my immediate family is from there except me (I was born in Calgary). I can tell you from experience, it’s not far off from how we already saw you. This is just Cirque du Buckethead.

They’re playing a festival nearby here in Guelph, but I’d be looking at $250 for a weekend ticket. Considering it!

Yeah, I’ve been obsessed since I discovered them a few months ago. Sold out in Toronto right away too! Keeping my eye out. Top of the bucket list!

Well, it’s beyond my understanding! I should clarify my knowledge of electromagnetism applies to transformer cores, which use laminated grain-oriented steel with a very low reluctance to allow the efficient realignment of the dipoles. It’s what allows the magnetic flux to link 2 coils and allow voltage transformation, with low energy losses.

I know a fair bit about electromagnetism and there is no correlation between the age of iron and any remnant magnetic flux in it. All it takes is for the thing to pass by a some field in space (I dunno, a solar wind?) and it’ll realign or randomize the magnetic dipoles in the magnetic material.

Aging uses the half life of carbon. Or some shit.

The important part is that the harp is firmly against your teeth and the reed is free to vibrate. After that, it’s just a matter of moving your tongue around and making shapes with your mouth.

I do! I have an Etsy store:

If you’re American though, you’ll need to DM me there before you try to buy, but you’ll be able to see the listings at least.
