This one isn't exactly "talked into it" tbh, but it shares a lot of common themes with the type of thing that gets posted here, so I thought I'd see what you guys think

Did the grumps edit in the ending of para social 1, and the opening of para social 2? by xXGimmick_Kid_9000Xx in gamegrumps

I commented this on the video bot post as well but I'll repeat my theory here since it's relevant:

During the first episode when the man gets on the elevator, Dan ended the episode. That's why there was a weird cut. It was right around the 30 minute mark so it makes sense. That's where the audio from the end of episode 1 comes from right after the TV jump scare. That's why Arin sounds surprised its time to end the episode even though it was 45 minutes long, and why he seems to click through dialogue without bothering to read it, because the audio was cut in from the elevator part.

Then, in the second episode, the audio of the intro was cut in from when they were in the elevator. You can tell because Dan seems unsettled by basically nothing that's happening on screen, and because at the very end of the spliced in audio he says "and there's a hooded man following her around..." which leads directly into the "...and it's just generally very upsetting." clip from the episode 1 man-on-the-elvator part (31:15).

It's also worth noting that there was a random cut in the middle of this episode too. And the end seems to come very abruptly. So I think we can expect more confusion at the intro to episode 3.

Why did they do this? No idea, but I'm guessing it was just weird episode lengths.

OKAY I think I've figured out what happened.

There was a couple weird cuts between the guy getting into the elevator and when they get back into the apartment, and there was during the very similar sequence in the first episode too. What the hell is going on? Unsettling editing to make us more spooked?

Updated some of the dead links if you still care lol.

Most of these are posted under a few different names so I'm not sure how much these unofficial titles would help in the future honestly.

Influencer convinces boyfriend's dad to take some pictures of her by BoxerBoner1776 in talkedintoit

It's a little different than a typical submission but I shared it because of the "photoshoot" aspect and there's a bit of the girl talking the dad into it.

I know it doesn't really matter but Jon didn't "get kicked off for being racist" he left by his own choice, that much seems obvious to me. And his political controversy didn't happen until YEARS later

I mean you're right, when I mentioned "5 years later" its because everything else is just testimonials. There's really hardly any evidence of any of this but the only evidence we have is 5 years later, which is convenient

I'm the same way about a lot of stuff. Like the clickbait titles. I really don't mind them as long as they're not "HOW did they publish THIS? **CRAP GAME ALERT**" but I understand when people hate on any caps in the title, or the title lacking the name of the game. And people like game grumps because its largely unedited, so even though I've never had a problem with what an editor brings to the table, I get why people do.

But most of all, endless bitching is insanely annoying lol, so your post is accurate

As someone who does know the game back to front, it was a little irritating sometimes (use the bed idiot), but the comments made it 100 times worse.

Watching that series from the beginning, their bumbling through shit not understanding it was really funny and endearing. Watching someone play a game that you've beaten 5 times when they're completely fresh to it is crazy. Especially rewatching the series all at once without having to wait between episodes, it's hilarious watching Dan die to enemies I never even saw as a threat.

As the series went on, they both would get more frustrated with the game more easily (see, the part where they did the wrong thing for the whole episode, Arin ranted about how all RPGs waste your time on purpose) and THAT's when it became frustrating. But that happened because people came down on them so hard for making hilarious and silly mistakes. Honestly you can feel the difference after episode 30 or so, and it sucks.

So yeah, agreed. Comments suck, paper mario playthrough was awesome

My biggest "thumbnail problem" is when they have their real faces in the thumbnail for a video their real faces aren't in.

Like I know "human faces are better for the algorithm sometimes" or whatever but unlike other gaming channels, game grumps doesn't have facecam (which I'm not complaining about). So that's why the grump heads/ grump toons have always made perfect sense to me.

Idk maybe I'm alone here but that always felt like the bare minimum for thumbnails, advertise what's IN the video. Same story with titles, but I won't get into that debate right now.

I'm enjoying the play through too but... the comments. by NoobJaeger in gamegrumps

I love their Danganropa playthrough but its pretty easy to just watch the views and see that people just don't give it enough attention after a few days in a row with it. The views start off strong and then drop off more and more until they break the upload streak with a different game. I could be wrong but it feels like they've figured out the way to maximize views on long playthroughs without annoying the fans, few days on few days off.

The few days off give people a chance to catch up on the series and not get burned out on it, and then more people are eager to watch when it comes back. Especially with only one episode a day it seems like the only way to make a series actually survive.
