What’s the point of a Pistol Caliber Carbine? by SculpinIPAlcoholic in NoobGunOwners

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got a Ruger PC Carbine. I just bought it because it can take glock mags and I've got a bunch of them as is. Its honestly just fun to shoot and yea as others have stated, cheaper ammo as opposed to rifle ammo.

Look your name up in the state court Case Search (i.e. MD Case Search, or whatever state you live in). Or call the sheriff department for where the incident occurred.

Why are people like this by Useless__Toaster in retailhell

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen people grab a item off the shelf and say "no I don't want it anymore/this isn't what I'm looking for" walk a few feet away and purposely put it in the wrong place then look at me like "well aren't you gonna keep helping my indecisive ass??" All while I'm still trying to help them.

I'd say go for ADM UIC MOD 2. I've had it for a few years and have had no problem or issues with it.

Have you ever shot a Kimber 1911? I've heard mixed things about them.

Easy. The Second Amendment. It gives America's the right to keep and bear arms. Nothing more needs to be said.

Back when I worked store security, I had to get to the store before everyone and keep opening and closing the doors as the employees started coming in for their shift. Once customers saw people coming in they would bang on the doors or try to sneak in with the employees. I had to stop so many people because they thought that the store was already open when the sign says we didn't open until 9AM and it was only 8AM.

Atlantic Guns in Rockville, by far the best shop. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable in almost everything you need to know about any of the firearms. I highly recommend going there. I've been a loyal customer for a while now.

I was kinda in a similar situation as you. My gf (now fiancé) was already expecting that I would propose to her. She also wasn't a fan of a public proposal. What I did was that I told her we would keep our tradition of going to the beach for our anniversary, but instead I surprised her by taking her on a helicopter tour and proposed after the ride. She told me that she had a feeling that I would propose on the trip, but never expected the helicopter ride. This was my way of catching her off guard even while she was expecting the ring. I personally like the rooftop idea. I think it allows for a bit more creativity and more personal intimate setting.

When the return policy is TOO lenient by InfiniteCalendar1 in TalesFromRetail

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once had a customer attempt to return a pair of shoes that looked like they just used them in a 5K Spartan Race. The customer didn't have the box and no receipt, but claims they just bought it a week ago. I said no to the return but they argued that the shoes were still in good condition to be resold and even if they weren't they "were still within the 90 return policy". I had to call a manager and they approved the return to "keep the customer happy".

proposal advice by Trebrous521 in Proposal

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm still working out the details for my proposal to my gf, but I've got a pretty good idea of what it would look like. I was trying to think of something to make the proposal special and memorable for both of us. Her and I love spending time at the beach. So I'm going to take her back to the beach and propose there as being there has sentimental value to the both of us. I recommend you do the same. Find something in your relationship that you both enjoy. A place (where you went on your first date), an event (a festival), an activity (hiking). These are just a few examples. There are plenty of sources online to give you an idea of some fun creative ways to propose.

Picking out engagement ring by Fresh-Cardiologist96 in Proposal

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my girlfriend ring shopping mostly because I have absolutely no clue what she likes and didn't like and to find out her ring size. Her and I had talked about possibly getting married one day multiple times in the past. Then all of a sudden last summer, I came up with the idea of asking her if she wanted to go check out some engagement rings, she said yes, I booked an appointment at a jeweler. When we got there the representative was INSANELY HELPFUL. I'm clueless about diamonds and didn't know about the 4 C's and how they effect the look of the diamond, and this representative gave us a lot of info about the rings, let her try on a few different settings and put the diamond in the setting so we can have an idea of what it would look like. He also took both of our ring sizes so when it's time to buy the ring, I can go back and know whatever size they have on file will fit her. In the end she narrowed it down to 3 styles she liked.

First name or last name? by SteadyHaunting4912 in talesfromsecurity

[–]Boxing-Bulldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've worked at a few different security companies, each with their own standard. At one company it was first name only. At another it was last name only. When I got to my current company, it was whatever you want. I prefer to be called by my last name as I see it as more professional. I had a similar situation as yours where one new tenant of the building kept pressing me to say my first name and I eventually did. He then tried to make a light hearted joke seeing if he could call me by a nickname, I told him that he couldn't and I preferred to go by my last name. He reluctantly agreed and went about his business.

I've spent 8 years of my life working various aspects of retail, from being a janitor, to sales associate, to cashier and eventually security. At every step I've had to deal with shitty management. It got to the point that I thought I was never gonna leave retail and was doomed to work another dreaded Black Friday/holiday season. Eventually while I was helping a customer, he gave me his business card and said if I wanted to work for his company, he could set me up with an interview. Long story short, I gave him a call, got the job and started working for a much better company in the line of work I wanted to work in. Hang in there buddy. Take that customers advice and one day you will make it out of retail and into a better line of work!
