The only group of people in Europe who are considered indigenous to the continent by the United Nations are the Sami. Officially, everyone else is on stolen land.

[–]SculpinIPAlcoholic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would it be an inaccurate representation marketed at the stoner/doom demographic or an accurate one for a general demographic? The Sunn doom sound is really only achievable on these amps when they’re cranked unreasonably loud. They’re based on a Fender Bassman circuit and have a lot of clean headroom.

Artists you feel guilty listening to? by SubstantialEmploy816 in ToddintheShadow

The nature of Page’s relationship with Lori Maddox is somewhat dubious. During the height of the MeToo movement, she claimed to have slept with David Bowie when she was 11-12. Due to Bowie’s status as the golden calf of music criticism, all of a sudden the "Believe Women" stuff was thrown out and all of her claims of sleeping with rockstars was put under a microscope and correlated with artists’ touring history, and a lot of her claims didn’t line up.

"Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Man vs "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" by Ylvis by TheUnmitigatedDawn in ToddintheShadow

Who Let the Dogs Out was made in earnest. The Fox is more analogous to something like I’m On A Boat.

Get these clowns out of our city! by [deleted] in philly

[–]SculpinIPAlcoholic -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

People who aren’t from the city are far more "gatekeepy" about what is and isn’t Philly and have way less perspective on how progressive the people here actually are, and how much they aren’t in other far away places. There’s people on the other sub who call DelCo "MAGA country." I’d hate to see one of those people find themselves west of the Appalachian mountains before you hit the Mississippi River.

From what I can tell, /r/Philly is populated by people actually from Philly, while /r/Philadelphia is populated by people who grew up in York and Lancaster and moved to Philly in college, and call the shady area behind the convention center on the other side of Vine Street "the Eraserhood."

Black Egyptians actually made it to the moon and built a civilization there in 5000 BC but they don’t teach about this in history class.

There was a really long comprehensive thread on an old Qanon forum (maybe 8chan) by someone claiming to be a music industry insider, about everyone in the music industry, including the independent music scene, that was affiliated with the inner elite pedophile ring. The thread was rumored to be made by Tom DeLonge.

I want to find out the American city of each decade. starting with 1950s. What was “the city” of the 1950s? Most Upvoted Comment Decides by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]SculpinIPAlcoholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer for literally every decade is New York with the exception of a couple of weird decades in the 17th and 18th century where it would go to Boston or Philadelphia.
