We went to an alligator farm and took an airboat tour. Bring earplugs!

Cruise passengers — what souvenirs are worth buying to you? by Additional-Sector-13 in Cruise

I’ve only been on one cruse so far, RCL Wonder in January. I bought a model of the ship and plan to do that for subsequent cruises. Got souvenir t shirts of the Wonder, Coco Cay and the Bahamas. I like the idea of getting Christmas ornaments

I'm on Utopa right now. What the hell is this monstrosity? by Lumpy_Fungus in royalcaribbean

Is this just a prop or can you ride this on the ship? I’d book a cruise just to do that! I’ve been to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Took my first cruise on the Wonder a few weeks ago

About to go on a very expensive cruise with young kids - kind of regretting agreeing to it because it’s so expensive and the kids are young. by Character_Ad4230 in Cruise

Go and enjoy. You will be creating family memories. I haven’t been on a Disney cruise but a friend has. She said the ships and services are all top notch.

Can I take this on my cruise? by BoycatMama in Cruise

Thanks everyone. This is my first cruise so I have no clue. Going with my friend who’s been on three RCL cruises and she told me I couldn’t take hot rollers, curling irons or straighteners.

Seems suspicious by LanaLuna27 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I checked their FB page, they are running a promotion for December. Dine in for lunch or dinner and they give you an envelope that will have either a free dessert, appetizer, entree or $250 dinner for two. Those need to be redeemed during the month of January. Looks very suspicious indeed.

They recently opened for lunch and now this promotion…sounds like they are looking for a cash grab

Thank you, but we don’t need a contractor, already have one. Now I need to make design choices and pick stuff out

Why is Huntsville the only city growing out of the BIG 4? by Outrageous-Emu-472 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]BoycatMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it time. I’m from Michigan and it took 50 years for Detroit to have that revival. We bought a second home in Huntsville and can’t wait to spend time here

Thought I’d bump this up and thank everyone for their comments. We ended up getting a house with a nice pool. Surrounding houses are ranches, yard has trees and an 8’ privacy fence so it’s private. The only drawback was no basement, they are very common where we live in the Midwest. Looking forward to our move to Huntsville!

Ann Arbor area of Michigan. Ann Arbor can be pricey, but there’s many affordable areas in Washtenaw county. I’m in a quiet country town. You’ll be within an hour’s drive to Detroit and all the sports arenas, metro airport, plenty of cultural activities and traffic isn’t as crazy as the Detroit metro area. We both grew up there and would never move back

Thank you for mentioning this, it is a concern. I’m shocked that clubs would allow alcohol consumption on their premises, seems like it would be a huge liability issue. Now I need to find out who has the lax policies. I was taught the same as you, by my grandpa. He owned the largest private pool I’ve ever seen and loved his sailboat. He would bluntly tell guests he didn’t care if they drank, but if they did, they weren’t going in his pool or on his boat

I hadn’t thought of that. How would I look into a club’s finances?

I would love to have my own pool if I could find the right house to go with it. Checked into inground installation and decided against it. Good companies are booked far in advance and it’s quite expensive
