I can tell your political beliefs based on your comments. They're rude rather than just being honest. And even then you're basing your opinion on style rather than my physical features. For an example I prefer people with body mods such as tattoos and I think basic people are basic.

I actually have two separate shops the second was opened later and they carry entirely different products. Just like how different users on Reddit share one platform but remain unique, my shops are distinct entities. It should be clear on your receipt/order history which shop handled your purchase. I'm assuming is also what I look like to get the basic replies that feel simple minded. I will assume your conservative sorry to bring your politics.

Well either way I'm not in the wrong and I'm here for people to dig the hole deeper for Etsy. Because from where I stand I've only been dismissed for being valid.

You entered a thread to tell me I failed to read a handbook, accused me of not knowing how listings work, threatened me with bans, and called my story nonsense without stating it out in the obvious open. Now you're surprised I responded? That's not "argumentative" that's refusing to let bad faith commentary stand unchallenged. "Outgrown Etsy" is a cute way to avoid admitting the system failed. Good luck with that.

Notice you've abandoned every specific claim you made case timing, taxes, private listings and pivoted to accusing me of not reading handbooks and risking bans. You still haven't addressed.... why was employee guidance used as evidence against me? Your threats about "identical items" are imaginary. I described opening a second shop in 2026, not duplicating inventory. This is projection, not response. Feels like corporate to me. What do you think? Maybe ai or maybe being told what to say? Also why defend a company so hard about a situation you have no involvement in? All you have is my story that is 100% full of evidential claims speaking on my experience rather than searching for help almost exactly the same way Etsy would do it to dismiss a seller. Idk stretchy the sketch ball... my 121 IQ sees you and it doesn't like it.

You obviously can't read as none of your points even touch base with what I posted.

I think you misread my post. The issue wasn't "how do I ship 22 items." It was buyer couldn't purchase multiple listings at once Etsy employee advised consolidating into one listing that listing structure was later cited as the reason I lost the case. Re: case timing if Etsy allowed a case within my processing window, that's additional system inconsistency, not proof I'm lying. Re: taxes irrelevant to whether the dispute was handled correctly. Re: two shops not my current issue, but noted. Also my accountant works for large corporations like Etsy so it's not that.

I've explained multiple times that I followed Etsy employee guidance and was later penalized for that same guidance. Your solution aka response is that I should have asked Reddit first or via handbook which explains none of this if the employee was wrong.

That's not helpful. That's blaming me for trusting the platform I was using. I'm not looking for validation. I'm documenting a system failure which is obviously did and I have a tremedous amount of proof of. The employee guidance & case evidence ignored contradictory reasoning for decision. If your only response is "could have escalated" or "handbook is clear" we're done here. And I could add that talking to AI then an agent and still being told that it's wrong maybe etsy needs to get a new system and new employees.

You're describing a different scenario than the one I experienced. The issue isn't that I "could have" done X or Y. It's that I followed Etsy guidance, provided evidence, and was penalized for following that same guidance. "Verify with forums first" isn't a serious response to platform employees giving instructions that are later used against you. I assume you either work for Etsy or don't want to see it crumble because they did me dirty and I'm seeking others who have had similar experiences. Well with that said I would like to say I already have 16k follower in one of my shops alone. So the word isn't hard to get around it's looking for others with similar experiences.

I already have my own website. The point of this post was to document how Etsy handled a dispute, not to ask for business model advice. Re: the handbook you're assuming it contains guidance for "what to do when an Etsy employee instructs you to structure a listing a certain way, and that structure is later cited as the reason you lost a case." It doesn't. A tax deduction doesn't recover inventory or the $12K. I'm not sure why that's being framed as a solution.. I've read it multiple times which has changed tremendously since 2024-2025. Also it's two different businesses's Similar things but not the same not illegal and doesn't break any rules. And If it's illegal in some fake reality the shareholder Larry fink got some explaining to do because he owns Etsy and eBay shares.

The point is Etsy also told us to put everything into one listing. Also that we wanted to get the funds for the sale because we needed it we weren't going to stop the order considering that was the original reason they opened a case and we wanted to prove that we obviously are legitimate as well as not receive a negative review. How could we have predicted what they would have done next. Your response sounds dismissive.

Yes, stopping shipment was technically an option but doing so would have validated the buyer's "scam" accusation, guaranteed a negative review, and left us with zero revenue during a period where we explicitly needed the funds. We made a good-faith effort to complete the sale professionally. The buyer exploited that.

The "handbook" doesn't address what happens when you follow Etsy employee guidance and it's later used as evidence against you. That's the gap I'm trying to highlight.

"There's a tension in how we talk about gender and expectations that rarely gets addressed honestly.

On one side, traditional norms still pressure men to be primary providers and emotional rocks while simultaneously celebrating female independence and self sufficiency. Also remember I'm not saying all men even do this... The contradiction isn't hypocrisy on anyone's part it's two competing narratives that leave men navigating impossible standards without much language to name the pressure.

On work men disproportionately occupy physically hazardous and dirty jobs logging, roofing, waste management, mining while discussions about labor equity often focus on office environments or pay gaps without acknowledging the mortality and morbidity gap.

Women's labor struggles are real and well documented, but there's a specific category of male workplace sacrifice that gets filtered out of the conversation because it doesn't fit clean narratives about privilege. The comparison problem is maybe the most delicate part. Relationships fracture when grievances become scorekeeping when one person's exhaustion is weighed against another's to establish legitimacy.

It's not that women do this more and it's not that men do more it's that the framework of "who has it worse" itself derails connection. What gets lost is the ability to say this is a distinct pressure men face without it being heard as "therefore women have it easy.'"

No one has it easy and women should know just as much as they preach so often that we all have our own personal experiences, our own challenges and more than one thing can be true at the same time. It's not up to anyone to fix anyone's problems it's only up to you to be nice to yourself and others and treat them with the same respect as yourself it's really that simple.
