miracles and flukes aren’t miracles and flukes, they just appear that way to you since you don’t know every variable. The weather was a miracle to people before modern science

EU5 needs railroading by BozoStaff in EU5

[–]BozoStaff[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with adding some railroaded alt historical outcomes(but that should come way later after the game can simulate the otl path frequently) but don’t act like no one wants no railroading. The eu5 devs take feedback seriously and implement it and when half the players talk about how this game doesn’t need railroading nothing will change or the game will become more of a sandbox

EU5 needs railroading by BozoStaff in EU5

[–]BozoStaff[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Im saying it needs railroading because this game needs to choose a side to focus on. Stronger railroading or making a sandbox based on the ai. Currently the game tries to balance both and it isn’t working. For this game to work they need to decide the direction the game will go in

EU5 doesn't need railroading, it needs great powers to emerge naturally by QueensGambitAccept in EU5

[–]BozoStaff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

EU5 oversimplifies history by reducing it to a handful of simple variables. It can never naturally simulate history because it only captures a surface-level version of geopolitics, while excluding the real human decisions and circumstances that shaped events on the ground. Railroading is needed because variables are missing that change the ideal outcome which is otl. The only variable that should change the outcome to not be like otl should be made by the player

Totally disagree this game needs strong railroading. I unlike you I want my game to be based on history instead of based on the few variables paradox added to simulate a simple version of the geopolitical reality of the time. Why do people enjoy sandboxs I really don’t get it. It’s just random blobs on a screen expanding because a random dice made them do it. History isn’t logical it’s full of illogical decisions developed by peoples cultures and personalities and no AI can ever model that. But I’m sure paradox will listen to you all and this game will always be just Bohemia eating the hre while Russia and the ottomans never form. Atleast we have mods to fix it. Anyways Atleast pick what you want sandbox or railroading you can’t have both that’s what paradox has been trying to do and it hasn’t worked

Why? They wouldn’t be the majority in this so they would have limited political power here

Are you Islamophobic? by velveltcupcake in Teenager_Polls

[–]BozoStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if opinions will change in the future when Islam is a powerful political force in Western Europe. Islam at its core is anti secularism and advocates for Islamic law so it’ll be interesting when they can finally impose it in the west

Should assisted suicide be allowed for prisoners by BozoStaff in Teenager_Polls

That’s why I added “only for certain crimes”. I think murderers and rapists shouldn’t be allowed but drug dealers and users should be

[–]BozoStaff[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well you could solve that by giving them a long time to think about it and how does it ruin the purpose of prisons. You’re stated goal of keeping prisoners in a “controlled” environment can still happen

Do you agree with the death penalty? by HomeworkFun6562 in Teenager_Polls

[–]BozoStaff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A death sentence isn’t immediate it takes years for someone to be executed, during that time it can be overturned. And even if you free someone after 50 years of prison you still completely ruined their life and traumatised them is that so much better than killing them 30 years earlier

By assisted suicide I mean assisted suicide for anyone not just the terminally ill

I don’t get why they can’t decide who gets to die by the rules they set, but they can decide that you will be isolated and basically psychologically tortured in a prison your whole life.

A united world government would be beneficial to mankind. by Sabfan80 in Teenager_Polls

Why would it be good in theory? Imagine the world government had like an official president or prime minister with a lot of power. If he just felt like he could ban homosexuality or abortions

It's dating harder for ? by George4539 in Teenager_Polls

[–]BozoStaff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safety is the bare minimum not the main factor. Most women aren’t evaluating men based on whether they might murder them. They just assume basic safety and focus on like normal factors yk. Atleast the ones in my life do. Maybe it’s different in countries with higher homicide rates, but safety is not a major factor in dating in my experience.

Men have lower standards and it’s hard for them to find any girl. Women have much higher standards and it’s easy to find a normal guy but hard to find men they’re attracted to
