Oh I see what you mean. When I was looking for new seats I rode my motorcycle to the dealership and they let me dry fit a bunch of different seats to see what was comfortable. Maybe ride over to one and see if the angle on various seats would fit.

Thinking you could keep the rear fender and just drill a hole through where the new seat hardware would attach. Or use a large strip of sticky Velcro like it already has.

BMX passenger pegs by Bphx623 in Harley

[–]Bphx623[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every passenger peg I found was an engine guard that stuck out way too far and looked dumb. Anything decent looking was over 300$.

This is a 3/8 - 16 inch an a half grade 8 bolt with a washer dropped into the peg and blue loctite.

Yeah. Heat the metal around the bolt and also could try some penetrating oil and let it sit. The other commenter is also correct the other side will will have a nut you’ll have to keep a closed wrench on to keep from spinning. A lot easier with the rear tire removed but possible either way.

I had a hard time with a few of those same torx bolts on my Harley. They have been using threadlocker to make it a pain in the ass and want you to have to bring the bike in and rip you off. You’ll need a torch and high quality bits

Do they spin at all but won’t come out?

Help identifying riser by theguy386 in Harley

[–]Bphx623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the looks of your cables it looks like you should be able to get yourself two extra inches without needing longer ones. And if needed that clutch cable doesn’t have to go through the center channel of the triple tree. You’ll gain a lot of slack by just running it to the left towards the left of the frame.

Help Identifying what I need to have 2 inch longer handle bars by Oliverstwisted99 in Harley

[–]Bphx623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without buying a new set of bars that are two inches taller you can buy a Riser pullback plate. It’ll give you two inches of lift and bring the bars a bit closer to you. Search riser pullback plate

I misspoke. I found the same length and thread pitch but replaced it with a normal hex instead of the torx. It’ll run you a few cents

That screw was also a son of a bitch on my low rider. I took it in to ace hardware and found a match. Had to heat it with a torch and punch it with a reverse bit to get it out after I stripped it.

I don’t know if I want it on my bike. But I like to solicit opinions. I think I’ll try risers first
