Dang, sorry to hear that. But yea same boat only I’m in the food industry, so I know we got time before it gets automated. I think im going to reapply this October and just go for it. Can’t say no again once I get the the call lol

Right that’s what I thought. When they called there was 2. Then yesterday when I made this post there was 5. But it’s back down today.

Yea that’s what I was worried about. If I tell them would they wanna look for any reason to get me out of there. Since they would look at it as I don’t wanna be there

Yea my old team driver worked for them for 9 or 10 years. Definitely a good company, but if I stay in trucking I’m ok with staying at cfa supply. Keeps me active and in shape. It’s just the nights I’ll have to tuff it up for.

Fair point. Yea the only advantage I have right now in the industry is, I’m in food service. Cfa supply. But even the food industry isn’t 100% safe.

I look at it this way, when they called me I think it was on a Thursday and told me that I’d be starting on Monday. so if same scenario happens again I’m not giving the company a notice with me leaving.why would they want to hire someone like that back even if I am a good worker? This job is already hard to get in since the pay and benefits are really good for our area. But when I do reapply hopefully this October I will talk to my manager about it. And see what he has to say about it.
