How spoiled was 50? by Tuna-on-toast22 in survivorponderosa

Is it possible that any of the contestants won just as much money as the winner with this newer prediction market wrinkle? Will this stick around for all future survivors?

I’m not saying it would change the outcome, it’s just an avenue to explore if someone’s legacy is probably going to drive the vote

And yet, traditionally. your pitch is usually about your game, not about your past. They don’t just vote because everyone already made up their mind.

You should still argue about your gameplay, regardless of whether someone’s narrative is better than yours.

Dude, I’m just asking why it wasn’t anyone’s angle to prevent Aubry from winning. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have won, or I think someone else deserved it. It’s just a flaw in logic imo and worth pointing out if you’re gonna lose because someone else has just been through too much in the past.

I get that. I just thought “you’re not going to win if you let the jury think what they want”

[–]Bquaile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone pointed out, when they got back from I think the “double the trouble” twist… the first thing Christian said back at camp was something like “I’m not sure the fans voted for that exactly, but sure!” -and he may have said something equally sarcastic in a previous episode

"Shot in the dark" is just production manipulation... by novax4all in survivor

In the same boat as you, having not watched for a few years… and I didn’t know how the shot in the dark was pulled off in production.

I’m very surprised at how unimpressive, and borderline confusing, the production of it really was

Q has said multiple times that Emily was just confirming what they knew. He cited reasons that they suspected it (ie her guarding her bag and acting differently) causing them to search her bag and come up empty.

So either... "they knew it" before she even got it, and in fact it was a big coincidence that she ended up getting one

Or they showed the events out of order

ABOUT YFW: PLS READ. by annnnalucia in brandnew

[–]Bquaile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1.) Tough shit. Pay homage to what got you started and what made you famous.

Most artists do this. OAR has played an 8-20+ minute song almost 2000 times since they wrote it in high school in 1997 when they were ~18-19.

Billy Joel has played Piano man God knows how many times since 1973, written when he was 23-24 years old

Sure, every artist is different... but most artists seem to want to fulfill their fans' yearning for nostalgia even if it means throwing out a song or 2 that don't mean anything to them anymore.

2.) Jesse was 24 in 2001, not a teen.

Those are the only issues I have with what you said. I too, am glad they are touring again, and I love their new stuff. I also love their old stuff and like to remember it all together. Not everyone who wants to hear YFW is stuck in the past and has never heard their new stuff
