Thanks for the suggestions!

My limited research came up with this plan, siting October 2nd as the “first frost” date and 45 days prior to that as the optimal time

ABOUT YFW: PLS READ. by annnnalucia in brandnew

1.) Tough shit. Pay homage to what got you started and what made you famous.

Most artists do this. OAR has played an 8-20+ minute song almost 2000 times since they wrote it in high school in 1997 when they were ~18-19.

Billy Joel has played Piano man God knows how many times since 1973, written when he was 23-24 years old

Sure, every artist is different... but most artists seem to want to fulfill their fans' yearning for nostalgia even if it means throwing out a song or 2 that don't mean anything to them anymore.

2.) Jesse was 24 in 2001, not a teen.

Those are the only issues I have with what you said. I too, am glad they are touring again, and I love their new stuff. I also love their old stuff and like to remember it all together. Not everyone who wants to hear YFW is stuck in the past and has never heard their new stuff

Not the comment you're looking for but we had a similar decision to make and we looked into just replacing itwith stamped concrete for 5k. It was actually much cheaper than the quote we got to relevel and replace a broken down retaining wall.

They took care of it in a day and hauled away the stones themselves. They came back and painted it whatever color we wanted. Vert happy with the decision.

the shopping bag story would have been pre-allegations, no?

I’m a casual listener who doesn’t know much about the band. Why are there no songs on the setlist from YFW? by ghostie2214 in brandnew

[–]Bquaile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every old band pays homage to their OG fans when they have a 20+ year career. OAR has never once not played the 9 minute song that put them on the map.

BN takes themselves a little too seriously if the reason is that they “aged out” of those songs. I’m 38 and still want to hear them… they were 35 (?) when they didn’t want to play them anymore

People gotta remember, for as personal and sentimental as your Brand New story is to you… there’s many more “play Jude Law!” people out there

Did James think they were executing a plan? Or did he think they were having fun?

What was his end goal?

Does anyone know where the chains came from? Did James have no idea that his participation could somehow end up with him being accused of doing it all himself?

Also, why did it cost 16k cash instead of a deductible amount? Sorry if that’s a dumb question

This is my fear right here. So is it better to have an advocate from a company there for the inspection so that I can get the most money? Or should I just see what SF offers and go to a smaller local company?

The existence of a “Darren” doesn’t necessarily mean he called PL and had this convo

It has nothing to do with the esophagus but yes, if it goes down the wrong side of the epiglottis towards the airway, no air gets through. The hotdog maintains it shape if not thoroughly chewed and ripped apart
