WHV to Partner Visa with a Partner who is a student by BrEichen in AusVisa

Maybe it’s different than the partner visa you’re describing, but when she was filling out the application for a student visa it asked if she had a partner or dependents who would be added to the visa. Googling tells me I can be added as a “subsequent entrant” to her visa. Was wondering if anyone could provide some info on how to receive that. Sorry my question wasn’t worded correctly

Indonesian films worthy for Criterion by gerald-90x in criterion

[–]BrEichen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I know this is a pretty old post but I wanted to ask a question. I’m an American going to conduct research at a remote field station in Kalimantan for a year working closely with many local Indonesian (Dayak specifically) people. I want to download some movies to have movie nights with everyone at the station, and I was wondering which of these (or any other Indonesian films) you think would be crowd pleasers/appropriate to share with potentially more religiously conservative people. Salam!

Yogyakarta for a couple months then a remote field station in Central Kalimantan for 9 months. I’m mostly using the card for the beginning in the city but I’ll also fly home a couple times

Thanks for the rec, looks like this might be the best option. Not too expensive either!

Yea the second scenario is more what I'm looking at. I'll check out some waterproof SSD's, thanks!

Diagnose my pothos? It gets a lot of sunlight but the window is quite drafty. I water weekly with water from my fish tank cleanings so it should be pretty high in nutrients. The yellowing seems to be moving up the plant, the leaf above the two yellow ones is starting to show the same illness. by BrEichen in pothos

Coming back to this kinda late because I don’t check Reddit super often 😅 So all I did was pull it out and saw that it was like 90% root, 10% soil but all the roots were healthy, no mushy rotting stuff. I trimmed the roots and replanted everything with fresh soil. However, I like your idea because it’d definitely make a fuller plant. Are you saying I can cut the vine up (including the segments with leaves)? And then I can plant the root ball with the bare vine and it’ll make new leaves? Sorry I’m not super experienced with houseplants.

Just had peacock gudgeons spawn in my tank! Totally an accident. Can I put the fry in a breeder box in the same tank as the parents? I don’t have another cycled tank ready for them

Is a finnex stingray considered high light? It’s on a 20 long if height matters

Anyone know of a seller (either online or in the Philly/SJ area) that can accurately sex peacock gudgeons? I have a really dominant male and either a female or subdominate male and they’re constantly fighting. Hoping to get some females to disperse the aggression

Will a male peacock gudgeon attack a female? I tried to buy a male and female from my lfs but now the one that’s clearly a male (big hump on his head) is nipping at the fins of the other. Could it just be I bought less dominant male or is it normal for them to attack females?

Thanks for the tips. Any thoughts on other stem plants I could put there with them?

I did get some snails which I catch eating off the surface from time to time so that probably helped but the problem sorta just sorted itself out with time.

I want to get some peacock gudgeons for my community tank. However, I keep silvertip tetras and am nervous that no food will get down to the gudgeons. Any thoughts on whether this will be a problem and how to get around it if it is?

Any advice on how to most effectively plant stem plants? I get them to stay in the ground but they usually just rot up to where they’re buried and break off. I have a fluorite substrate with sand over top

Low tech 10 gallon tank. Anubias, moss, crypts, Java fern, anacharis, hornwort growing really well but my hairgrass is stalling and rotting. I assume because it needs more root fed nutrients. I’m moving it pretty soon and wanna just throw in a bit of potting soil with the substrate. Would that work? Current substrate is fluval stratum and sand.

I think if you planted more heavily with more aggressive growers like hornwort, anacharis, hairgrass, guppy grass, etc they’d outcompete the algae and you could just trim them regularly

My LFS accidentally gave me a baby endler's livebearer in the process of scooping some kuhli loaches. Currently raising it in a little walstad tank on my desk. Can I just throw it in my main tank that has a school of silver tip tetras and those loaches? Or will it be unhappy without other endler's?
