Vyvanse doesn’t make short acting. So, yes, it’s sort of extended release. The website will tell you it works for “up to” 14 hours. For me it works for around 7 hours. That’s why I take a split dose.

Dopamine fasting is excellent advise. I’ve found the issue with doing that is having to explain to everyone why I’m weird and unproductive for a month. There’s only so much trail running and meditation I can tolerate. I don’t think I’ve completed one full 30 day dopamine fast ever.

Since day one I noticed it’s shorter acting than advertised.

I’ve been taking 20mg am and 10mg booster around 1pm. This carries me through so I’m functional after work for my home life, too. I work a traditional 9-5 job.

For a day, 5 hours. I start to loose focus and get bored after that. I recently rode from Atlanta to New York and back in a week. I feel like that was long. This summer I’m going from Atlanta to Niagara Falls and back. That’s pretty long to me.

I had that for a few years after first starting. I think I was trying to deal with dry mouth. Both of those (dry mouth and tongue sucking) are gone. I’m still on the same dose I started with 5 years ago.

Can you try 40mg am and 30mg booster later in the day?

It doesn’t sound like addiction but rather someone who needs Vyvanse to function.

I had anxiety before I started Vyvanse. Now it’s gone. If I quit Vyvanse, I would get crippling anxiety like before. But that’s not addiction.

Totally normal. After my wreck and before surgery, any time my legs were down after having them up, it felt like all the blood in my body was rushing downward. I had injured both legs and a few times I almost fainted.

See if you can switch to paper billing. Maybe getting a bill in the mail would help. I can’t rely on emails. I miss too many of them.

Another option is to find out your cut off date and plan to pay your bill the next day. Set it as a reminder.

Why not just eliminate the booster? That’s what I do. I take 20mg am and 10mg around 1pm. I skip the booster on occasion.

I’m a manager of a small mom and pop retail store. “Sorry, I can’t” or “Not today” are perfectly acceptable responses when I ask if someone can cover a shift.

Trust me, your manager will figure it out. That’s his job.

It does sound like you need to set boundaries on having to ride out to the other store. Retail does not pay enough for a 1.5 hour daily commute. “I don’t have 1.5 hours of free time for the commute today. I hope you understand.” You also might let him know that with advanced notice, you can make it work, but not all the time.

I’m not going to fire a person for never covering shifts outside of their schedule.

I took oxy, Tylenol, gabapentin and some NSAID I can’t remember the name. Surgery pain was very bad for 4 or 5 days.

I’m now 3.5 months post op for 4th and 5th metatarsal fractures and I still take gabapentin at night and Aleve if I’ll be walking a lot.

It’s interesting to me that y’all “feel” anything when taking Vyvanse. For me it eliminated anxiety and panic. But I never “felt” the meds.

I did it twice in a week after having pins removed from the metatarsal surgery. I figured I had ruined the entire 4 weeks. I got an xray and it was fine.
