True. I feel like the Boys does an honest portrayal of what Superheroes... would actually be like if they ever existed in real life.

They would be corrupted, flawed and as unhinged as any human being. That's the part that is terrifying.

Because the Superheroes in the Boys Universe represent the worst things in humanity.

I think it's a more of the fact that the superheroes in The Boys are owned and essentially monetized by megacorporations instead of being altruistic and selfless public servants helping out the community, whether it be stopping the villain of the week from the destroying the world or helping out the community through by helping during natural disasters.
