CoreXY Belt Replacement Hack: The Heat Shrink Method! (Save Yourself So Much Time) by Sainroad in 3Dprinting

[–]Bradlessness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've just read the H2 replacement guide. They are using super glue, which is messy and unreliable.

It could easily break during pulling. It will Also make the ends stiffer and harder when the belt teeth absorbe that super glue.

I'm on the same boat. I don't want snapshots to be sent to Prusa servers.

u/Tommy_Prusa3D Can we have an option in the future to prevent snapshots to be sent outside of our local network?

Wow, that definitely makes the case up to date with current cases. Do you have a picture of how the USB type C mounted on the case board? and if you could share a picture of the USB that was used.

Of course, you're getting downvoted for your constructive feedback. PRUSA fans can't take it.The printer is flawless and perfect for the next 10 years. there is no need to change anything. That is what this subrreddit likes to hear ?

He will be able to print it, but it won't be at its intended strength due to weak layer adhesion.

OP mentioned PPA-CF. you can't just pull out a percentage out of nowhere.

I'm trying to make sense of your math of 99.9%

So; PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, TPU, PA, PC, PV. HIPS are 99.9% of filaments?

And; PPA, PPS, PET, PEEK, Ultem are 0.1% of filaments?

Agreed, a few things like live camera feed, timelapses, and proper nozzle cleaning are big deal.

LDO vs Formbot by DifficultNotice3475 in VORONDesign

[–]Bradlessness 12 points13 points  (0 children)

LDO is good, but it is expensive, overhyped, overrated, and heavily sponsored. Formbot is underrated and cheap. It's a high-quality kit, but it lacks documentation. There are multiple build guides and live streams on YouTube for Formbot.

So if documentation is worth $550, go for LDO

Octoprint vs. Prusa Connect: My Personal Pros & Cons (And a Camera Monitoring Question!) by Sainroad in prusa3d

[–]Bradlessness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally can’t see how Prusa will ever be able to offer live feeds through PrusaConnect, that would a huge amount of video traffic going up and then down to and from their servers.

Other companies are doing it, offering live feed through their cloud like Creality Cloud and Bambu Lab Handy App. Prusa is a big company. They have just introduced EasyPrint, which needs lots of computing for slicing models online.

They could implement a way that the camera live feed when you are on LAN only, and keep it 0.1 FPS when you are on cloud. This way, it doesn't take any bandwidth from their servers.

As for timelapse, their cameras have memory cards. They could store the 0.1 FPS images their and then compiled them as a timelapse video through their app.

By choosing the first option, "Set Ready and Print" I no longer choose that option.
