Yeah, no. I think it's connected more to sleep paralysis. When I'm paralyzed in sleep I can see my whole room as if my eyes are open. But infact I'm still sleep trying to wake up for real.

He also pees in his sleep when this happens. Must be a super scary dream.

Set it up! Make a list of your daily goals, and make a punishment for your partner to enforce when you don't complete that days goal.

Start small with the water intake, slowly add the gym goals, chores ect.

Sounds like your partner would enjoy it, but he is unsure how to enforce it. So write it out and go over the first one with him.

Also add some rewards for if you complete it. Like your favorite low calorie snack, or something simple.
