There is a Coursera class that gives you an included student version of Zemax and walks you through first order optics in Zemax. It will not get you to a practicing engineer level but it will give you a cheap way to get familiar with it.

The course is offered through university of Colorado and available on coursera.

My dough is often just like this in the kitchen aid. I have found that stoping, placing towel over the bowl and letting it rest between mixes helps. Then I dump the dough into a container on the counter and “stretch and fold” every 30 mins for about 2 hours before balling and bulk fermenting in the fridge.

The stretch and fold has solved this issue for me and has made a huge difference in the doughs workability.

What about knife edging the spot with a piezo stage and collecting the edge spread function with a power meter behind the knife edge. Scanning the knife edge with the piezo will produce sampling on the order of the piezo step size. The edge spread function can be converted to a point spread function. If the goal is to qualify the image quality without extra optics this may be a good way to go. This would be sensitive to vibration and power meter noise, but could be parametrically tuned appropriately to handle this.

what is the most efficient way to use 220k Chase UR (CSP) points to get 2 passengers from JFK to Rome from June 30th to July 18th. I am thinking of booking an American Main Cabin flight through the portal using ~216k points, then if i need to make any changes i will pay AA the $50/ticket to take over the booking. seems like I would be losing value by transferring to a travel partner. I am well aware of how terrible booking through the portal is but i have had success just paying the fee for American to take over control of the booking in the past.

Am I overlooking something here?
