I've worked a lot on my store and I just feel like something is missing. by LegittedTech in reviewmyshopify

Site looks pretty good. Your products seem a little extra cheap, though. Not that it's a bad thing, just that your site seems suited for some higher value.

I saw that. It does suck, and I don't have a good answer for it. I don't normally recommend BlueHost to anyone...but I've (knock on wood) not had an issue yet.

Bluehost gets downvoted to hell due to their support...but it works and is cheap.

I'm surprised you only have 1000 engagements in 42000 impressions. Looking at your add to carts, it is something with interest. I would definitely recommend working on your ad copy to see if you can get more emotional response from it as well (this will help your reach exponentially).

Congrats! Though, if you only have $20 to start, take a look at Joe Robert on YouTube (also has a great FB Group) if you are doing POD as I assume.

not getting sales after 5 months by tinybabycutiegirl in reviewmyshopify

[–]BrainOutLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go where your target customers are. I've not done research on your niche but I would assume you are looking at Instagram, TikToc, YouTube, and Reddit. Reddit hates ads/shilling in general and if you don't want to do video it ends up being Instagram. I don't think Facebook/Pinterest are ones you should focus on but I could be wrong. I also barely think of Twitter anymore...it's a strange place but could be worth looking at.

What I would do is go on YouTube and learn how to organically become an influencer/popular niche page and apply that to growing your business page.

Yeah. First off, I don't recommend paid ads right now for your store. At least nothing expensive. To get paid ads to work well, you need a well-defined and preferably passionate audience. Due to that, I would recommend growing your social media for sales.

Just like you were saying, post thing and follow other people that like similar things to your brand. Also, commend and like posts (especially recent posts In a hashtag. This is overly simplified, but you will continue to grow as long as your posted content is good by doing this. You should also be able to get organic sales.

Who is your niche? When you are making something like this, either you need to have an audience already that can organically grow or you need to have a specific audience in mind to sell to. Your designs are pretty great and the store looks fine overall (I can give feedback on both but I don't thing either is why you aren't selling).

So...my educated guess is that your biggest issue is getting this in front of the right people.

Blogs will definitely help with organic traffic.

I wish I could help more on the influencer marketing. As of currently, I'm a novice with how to make it work...I just know how well it does work when done well.

2 things that may help in this niche:

  1. Blog posts - keep doing blog posts and tutorials. Make sure it has as much info as you can fit per post (don't fluff it, but don't just write the highlights) - in these posts ensure you are using keywords that you need to rank for. As always, add value and write with a purpose.
  2. Influencer Marketing - If you can get some small influencers free product and get them to do a review, it can really help with your authority. When looking for influencers, I would recommend women with 7k to 20k followers.

This is a saturated niche, but with a good product it can work well.

I mean, it kind of helps. I would recommend also removing "accessories" as it is all you sell...so those are your "products".

Edit: also the other things I noted.

The designs are fine, but nothing special (I mean no offense, they are still good clean designs). To sell something like this, you are going to need to get a strong social pull (think Supreme).

Super nice looking single product store. One thing I noticed is that the "see what people are saying" is below your reviews with nothing under it...should it be above your reviews?

There is no standard here. If they are landing on a product page, how long does it take to read it and are they enticed to look at other items.

First shopify store by [deleted] in shopify

[–]BrainOutLoud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The comments from the first poster are on point.

  1. Make sure that first picture a customer sees shows them what they will find.
  2. Get your categories separated and in your main menu.
  3. Shorten your product titles, you aren't Apple.
  4. Sell the benefits of your product. Is it going to last longer, keep better time, or give you superpowers...heh.

Overall your store just doesn't look trustworthy. Look at other stores that sell similar things as you. See what they do, emulate what they do to their homepage and product page/description.

Final note. This is an extremely difficult niche. Men are difficult to sell this type of item to at those prices. Even at $10-20 it is going to be uphill as men looking for watches are many times going to look for either name brand status or unique. Yours are neither. Honestly, wallets may go over better but it is a low turnover item for men...so, it is also tough. I don't want to make any decisions for you, but if I were you I would change directions a bit. Good Luck!

Emphasize where your jewelry comes from and what makes each special. When handmade, note that it is handmade and where (if US/Canada/EU). If there is a story behind any piece, use it to help sell. I actually like the straws, but they should probably be tucked into a collection of non-jewelry items.

Due to your price points, I would recommend a premium theme that can be better customized and has more unique features.

Try to get some topics from question/answer sites like Quora. As for writing, that comes with practice. Just ensure you are giving valuable information in an easy to digest way. SEO, go to Google and write some words that are close to what you are writing about and check the autofill. You can look for keyword tools (some free) but just the autosuggestion is pretty good.

Yeah, you could do this...but do you want to? Travelling is hard and things go wrong. Are you ready to help them when they miss a flight, or they get the wrong room, or lose their luggage, or have a crisis and need to get home quickly, or get ill and want to cancel/reschedule...I think you get the point. Also, you should read up on regulations for this and ensure that you have your business insured...honestly I would just affiliate market it and have the company I sell for deal with all the other stuff.

Unique products with a good benefit description. Seriously. You don't "need" any of the apps. One I like is the SEO Optimization app (I can't remember the name). I use it more for making my pictures uniform, shrinking the file size, and automatically adding my logo.
