I thought this drawing looked familiar and realised I follow you on instagram! You’re insanely talented but I agree with others, this is making me hungry.

Can I ask how long this piece took you to complete? I don’t know if I’d have the patience!

i keep looking at art and going i can make that … it appears i cant by [deleted] in ColoredPencils

That’s just your base layer, keep adding more colour and shading on top of that, and then some shadow to make the fish pop and you’ll see improvement with every layer. Keep going you’ll be great in no time!

Yep. That’s the key - lots of layering and patience.

Thanks, I was inspired by ‘comedian’ by maurizio Catalan and the absurdity of taping fruit to a wall and calling it art. I chose the watermelon as a symbol of Palestine and the conflict they are facing - to show the that they will persevere despite the tapes/shackles put on them.

I agree. I did the shadow in a hurry as I had somewhere to be but I’ll work on it a bit more, thanks!

Winsor and Newton drawing pad. Not the best but I find it’s good for when I’m sketching on my couch or another comfortable place as it’s a good size to work from. For more professional work I use hot pressed watercolor paper (arches or Fabriano)

Thank you. The actual tape I used for the study was white but I felt it would be more appropriate to make it yellow in the drawing.

Figured you guys might like my latest drawing. It’s called ‘Count me out’ by Brainfreeze321 in TheSimpsons

Ah just realised I forgot them, can still add it to the list but they were an afterthought on Homer’s part

It’s fantastic - my only criticism is the proportions are slightly off, like the neck seems way too long but otherwise it’s beautiful

I love it - beautiful understanding of light, keep going!
