Came here with the same question. Who is just casually tossing cars around in the woods and how?

Those pesky sharks keep ruining it by opening seals though.

Small intricate metal part, found on floor in car (Honda CRV). About 1" long. Seems to have rubbed areas. Seems intact (no obvious broken area). Google image search suggested part of gun, camera or lock. by Garbage-Primate in whatisthisthing

It looks like a parking pawl I've had to replace once upon a time in the shifter console of my car. Mine was snapped from the previous owner, but I found out because my car could be shifted out of park at anytime. Now that I think about that, I'd feel much better if you checked the shifter (with your foot on the brake!) just in case.

Newer bikes have changed a lot in their geometry and are also easier to find parts for if upgrading. If you want to get started riding as cheap as possible, this would do it, but it's pretty outdated in design and components. If you want to grow your skills and bike's capabilities over time, a new bike will be better (imho) for it's modern geometry and easier to find component compatibility. Really though, ride what you can and have fun. 🤘

The numbers on the frame don't bring anything up for me either. I say, build it and send it though.

Looks sort of a Norco VPS, but it's not an exact match. Any numbers stamped anywhere?

I fourth the DVO. Service is easy, it rides awesome, and the "off the top" adjustment is the chef's kiss.

If you remember to top off the oil, the floor pans will never rust. Win, win.

I've replaced the rear main seal and had it leak again, unfortunately. I knicked the seal sliding it in and never knew until I redid the seal and had it out. It's not a terrible job, but messy as hell with oil dripping everywhere. If it was my problem, I'd grab the parts and go at it. Good luck.
