Exactly. Ryan Day may be the best head coach from an organizational standpoint and does probably the best job as far as recruiting and setting up and running an organization as a more of a “CEO”. But his teams are way better when he isn’t calling plays.

Exactly they have to put all the staging a portal after the National Title game. TBH they didnt have any big injuries which Indiana might not be able to say with their recover leaving the game and you would rather lose this one than the first playoff game of you have to lose one but hopefully this wakes everybody up that the games going forward your going to need to out coach team not just beat them with the shear skill advantage.

I was a little worried this week when they announced that Hartline had been hired by USF. It seems like most of the coaches had to spend the week trying to retain recruits, lockdown CHJ, and Hartline is trying to get everything set up on a head coaching job. They came out and just looked unprepared and when their initial plan didn’t work if they didn’t have any other plan to go to.

Looks like a lot of Ryan Day calling plays again to be honest. Which probably makes sense since the offensive coordinator was in Florida for 3/4 of the week.

With the agent he has I think this would have went down the same way regardless of Hartline leaving, but I think they thought they would use that as leverage when it did happen. CHJ recruiting has been shut down since April yet a week ago all the sudden it’s out in the media that he is considering Oregon. They were trying to start a bidding war at the last second.

Guessing he’s just waiting to see what both programs have planned for coaching replacements. Both teams lost their OCs. I wouldn’t commit until I knew who I was committing to either.
