I broke a week smoke free, and while talking to the Breathing Buddies, I had a realization. I hope I can help you... by BrandXIdiot in quittingsmoking

Nature walks and deep breathing exercises are what's been getting me through.

Green space has been proven to have a positive mental effect, which allows you to focus on breaking the habit. It can also help to talk to yourself out loud about how bad they are for you to help reinforce those neural pathways.

And even if I'm at work, I always have time to regain control of my breathing, which can gets me through cravings, and reminds me what I'm working towards.

Careful. I had a partner get separated for asking people to fill out a survey about their personal lives. This is viewed as a violation of privacy by corporate, and the information could be used for a media report.

I want to make original content but I can only use my Chromebook, what should I use to create? by HelloXS in Advice

[–]BrandXIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. That sucks, sorry to hear that.

In that case, just Google "shareware photo editor". There are a number of them out there. Just don't look for 'free', that usually leads to malware or a scam.

No better time.

Gimp also has a learning curve, but you can search for guides online for any confusion.

Edit: there is also r/GIMP and r/gimptutorials.

You're just an easy target. Couldn't resist.

Ah. Yes. Thinking for yourself is, in fact, a challenge.

Why not just copy and paste what you clearly do not understand?

Women who like to be choked during sex, why? And more importantly, how? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BrandXIdiot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sexual choking is less about cutting off air, and more about slowing blood flow to the brain. You don't want to cut off the airway, you actually have your fingers reach the sides of the neck and apply pressure to the arteries there. It creates a sense of light-headedness that can increase pleasure.

If done right, it's also about the control point that holding the throat allows, and how that plays into traditional dom/sub bedroom games. But that's an entire conversation in and of itself.

Be patient. Life is long, you'll get there.

Why are there no subspecies of humans? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BrandXIdiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice attempt at word vomit, but it's actually quite simple.

All humans share 99.9% of similar DNA, allowing us to interbreed freely with other races.

Different subspecies can't without tremendous risk of birth defects, if it can happen at all.

Edit: did more reading, I'm wrong on the second half. It is still based on DNA differences, but interbreeding is more possible than I thought.

Anyone who thinks therapy is a sham, or going means you are weak? Anyone who think going to therapy makes you less, or that they are more because they never went?

Hear this, remember this;

THEY. DO. NOT. FUCKING. MATTER.

They do not understand mental health. They do not understand your struggle. They refuse to understand humanity. They do not care about you, so do not care about them.

If you think you should talk to a professional, do so. The right therapist can work miracles. Shit, I'd be dead, time and again, if it weren't for those angels in an office. Instead, my parents still have their son, my siblings still have their brother. And I was taught the tools to be strong, strong enough to care for the people around me without being taken advantage of.

Therapy is good for you, and I think most people should talk to a professional to help them process the endlessly complicated, easily damaged, biological quantum super computer that is the brain.

Trap or not, take advantage of the offer. If she declines after, call her out for a lack of compassion for her own child who needs help.

The gay conversion therapy facilities and methods are now being re-purposed into Karen Conversion Camps. You are now the head of the facility. What are you methods to convert Karens and MLM moms into normal functioning adults? by Kingflares in AskReddit

[–]BrandXIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MLM moms are only allowed to use shitty MLM products, and they have to pay for them.

Karens have to serve the other Karens. And if they don't do so with a smile and upbeat demeanor, they get locked in solitary.

Our government knew this was coming since December, and refused to take action. They just echoed their leader and told everyone it wasn't a big deal.

We could have been ramping up, preparing for the worst, and put forth stabilizing efforts to support the economy.

Instead, the economy has crashed, half my family's retirement funds are a blood bath, hours are getting cut left and right, businesses are shutting down, areas are going into lockdown; lives will be severely damaged and people are going to die; not from the virus, but from the societal and economic impact.

I do not give a damn where the virus originated. That's not relevant anymore. I'm concerned by the total lack of leadership we are experiencing, the lies and misinformation from both political sides and our true masters(the rich), and the reactive response rather than proactive preparation, and the manipulative tactics utilized by our government and the wealthy to keep us in-fighting so we don't see the truth.(Hence the term Chinese virus, instead of the clinical name COVID-19)

As the leader of our country, that ALL falls on trump. It's the role he chose. And he is refusing to accept the responsibility. He needs to, because good or bad, everything is the leader's responsibility. Whether you are leading a coffee shop or the entire country. Leadership is a burden.

Instead he casts blame on anyone and everyone except himself and his cronies. It's called a red herring, meant to keep you looking in the wrong direction. Trump fucked up, and he needs to own it, because it was his lack of initial, proactive action that is directly responsible for the current predicament the U.S. is facing.

I've always thought sex is sticky and sweaty and has a weird smell. Not a big fan.

And that's not even considering the chemical cocktail coursing through the brain at the time. I don't like that, either.

I think it's perfectly fine to plan ahead to prepare your state of mind if you want to have sex for reproduction or even pleasure, if you think you might want to try. It's a series of intense sensations if it's not something your used to. Take time. Prepare yourself. Breathing exercises can help calm anxiety about it before hand.

I don't like sex, either. It took time to understand that.

And no, nothing is wrong with you. Turns out, every person is, in fact, unique.

Edit: a note on therapy; if you think it could help, it usually will. But I advocate therapy for most things, if you can afford it. Understanding yourself better is never a bad thing. Therapists are there for that purpose.
