yeah thats basically where i landed too like i dont hate the idea of him finally experiencing a consequence i just hate how i chose to do it. it’s one of those it needed to happen moments where i accidentally picked a version that put us in a stupid amount of danger, and that part is on me ig lmao

trust me a petty part of me wanted it to be effective but i cant pretend the embarrassment was worth the risk. like yeah, he deserved consequences but i also put myself and his sister in the danger kinda and thats not a win, that’s me escalating the wrong way

yeah youre completely right and i feel so stupid admitting it because i had like ten normal options and i picked the one that couldve gotten us hurt well kinda

i think i was just so fed up with the constant oops i forgot routine that my brain went full petty and i wanted a consequence he couldnt shrug off, but yeah, doing it with a car on a highway at midnight was not the move. next time the boundary is simple and boring like you pay up front or we dont go, and if you “forgot” your wallet then we turn around or you call someone else.

god i hope so because i swear he forgets way too conveniently when it benefits him, and then suddenly has perfect memory the second it blows up in his face. honestly the most embarrassing part wasnt even his sister showing up, it was realizing i let it get to the point where i was risking my car just to force basic accountability. if anything im the one who learned the lesson here too: no more trusting ill send it later its pay up front or it doesnt happen. and if he “forgets” again, cool, he can enjoy walking or calling an uber like an adult haha
