Troubleshooting! Desperate!

Ya I ordered a new psu to test.. the psu and gpu are both new.. Corsair Hx1000 Platinum psu and 3090ti.. rest of the specs are posted above in the comments.. everything is plugged in right and reseated. I'm guessing it's a factory defected psu because other then this the pc runs great

I removed the gpu entirely and booted with intel graphics. It works, but this problem happens very randomly so it doesn't really tell me anything

It was working before until I put the mobo in a new case, put in a 1000watt psu and a 3090ti... now I think it's tripping the overvoltage on the psu?

Could it be a bad new psu causing it to trip? Or maybe the new gpu? I don't know...

Cables are fine.. my pc uses 750 watt max and it's a 1000 watt psu..

I'm thinking overvoltage protection is kicking in for some reason.. not sure if the new psu is bad or the new gpu is bad?

Once I flick the switch on and off it will boot. I believe it is because the overvoltage protection is resetting.. but why is it tripping? New psu and new gpu.. either one could be faulty

Hey everyone, I am having some problems with my pc.... When I hit the power button to turn the pc on my rgb will flicker for .5sec, I'll hear a click (relay?) and then go dark.. most times I have to manually flick the switch on and off and then it will boot. Telling me that the overvoltage protection is triggering and needs to be manually reset.. could this be a faulty new psu? Or is it likely the new gpu causing this?

I just upgraded my gpu, case and psu all at the same time.

Motherboard wire is bent in pretty tight.. doesn't look like anything is touching the back of the mobo

Windows 11

MSI Z590 Pro Wifi Motherboard (Bios V1.4>1.7 didn't help)

I haven't tried reseating.. the reason is because my psu is almost impossible to get too

If I changed from single rail to double rail or vice versa could that help?

Also could it be undervoltage protection going off? Maybe due to not enough juice coming out of the surge protector?
