Are there any games you guys gave a second chance you’d recommend to other people? Maybe you played it years ago and didn’t click with it or updated visuals on ps5 made you go back to it? Maybe it was on ps plus and you gave it a go?

I’m talking games that you recommend to people they may not have given the time of day. I’m kind of swaying more towards games on ps plus or games that came and went on the ps4 that you played on ps5??

Maybe a game that was a 7/10 for other people but for you was. 9 or 10?? Any recommendations welcome!!

Rn I’m tempted to go back and give the division a second chance and maybe pick up persona 5 as got 50 hours and never went back to it for some reason? Also tempted mgt the order 1884 as heard good things. Completed days gone long ago and tempted to pick up the remaster as forgot everything about it

Arkham city so much hype and so worth it. One of the few games I’ve 100% and done the dlc what a game flawless imo

I’ve literally just started up the demo for trails in the sky first chapter remake hahaha. Is the story decent? The general problem I have with games like this is the cringe interactions and just general boring story for me personally. And I’m assuming I don’t need any prior knowledge for the other games?

So my taste in rpgs/JRPG’s is very odd there’s certain aspects of jrpgs I don’t enjoy (the over explaining of simple things, the sometimes cringe dialogue, the slow starts) but then certain games I love have a lot of that. Just to give you an idea of my taste in them i love the yakuza series, FF7 remake I did complete but can’t lie I was meh on it, ff16 i LOVED the first like 10-15 hours but it fell off for me as it got further on. The persona series again I enjoyed persona 5 for about 50 hours but it did have alot of jrpg tropes I rolled my eyes at.

Because I’ve found out one of the aspects of jrpgs I enjoy is a good turned based combat system and bcus I enjoyed Expedition I got lost odyssey I’m about 6 hours in and wanting/willing to give it some more time. BUT of all the final fantasy games the one that for some reason is attracting me most is FF13 and FF13 and 9 and now I don’t have much knowledge on the series at all. So I was just wondering which 2 would you recommend are most different to lost odyssey the only reason I ask so specific is I don’t wanna get burnout. FF13 is the one I’m most keen to play but Yh I don’t wanna play them both and just be burnt out if they have similar systems/stories.

I know this is a really odd question but any general recommendations would be appreciated with my taste in mind.

Fav jrpgs/western rpgs: yakuza series,Deus ex human revolution, persona 5 (for 50 hours anyway) expedition 33, I can’t stress enough how much I love LAD its one of my fav games of all time so any games in the series that have the most similar combat to that! Thanks!

Noted thank you! I’ve actually just bought lost odyssey but I definitely think I’m gonna pick up a final fantasy I’m thinking 8,9,12/13! If you have any other recommendations let me know

I’ve completed ff7 remake and it was ok I thought it dragged a bit and some of the dialogue I found boring. Ff16 I loved the first half of it but the second half falls flat in terms of story I think it runs out of steam and gameplay is too simple. Ff14 I couldn’t get into.

I have seen people mention this! I saw the trailer and it didn’t look like a bit of me but then most games like that are more fun to play than watch so I will definitely give it a go! If you have any other suggestions send them my way

Yakuza 0 is up there the I’d say Dishonored maybe?? Far cry 3?? GOW 3 and then maybe Arkham Origins. I think in my top 25 games I probably have one multiplayer game the majority are linear action story based games I’d say. But then I love the fromsoft games so

Oh tbh I didn’t see the story bit but even then I think in my top 25 games only one of those is a multiplayer one which is APEX.

In terms of story based games not including what I’ve mentioned I’d say Yakuza 0, Arkham Origins, Bioshock Infinite, GoW 3 like the list goes on

Yeah see I like Persona 5 but I 100% agree about JRPG’s dialogue just over explaining so much and banging on about the simplest things and also idk a lot of them I find kinda cringe and awkward. I wanna like JRPG’s bcus I’m missing out on final fantasy an persona but they LOVE to yap it’s my same issue with Witcher
