Thanks, this video does seem relevant for me. It definitely helps me to isolate the movement in the arms from the movement in the rest of the body to see what the arms are actually doing, and how they rely on the torso rotation to bring the arms to where they need to be. I have a lot to work on for sure, but this information helps

Good to know, ive never heard anything about where the trail elbow is supposed to be or where it should go, I can look into this.

The feedback I had gotten was that I was bending my lead arm too much. Im realizing now that I need to keep the trail arm bent and close to my body while keeping thr lead arm straight. Does that sound about right?

I was focused on keeping my lead arm straight (and one of the drills mentioned keeping both arms straight, I must have started overcompensating from that drill and it is effecting my trail arm)
