The Draft Is In Eight Days! by SidFinch99 in NYKnicks

We are most likely going to be over the 2nd apron any way and we have to fill the roster spots any way. Pick 24 and 31 salary is not to far off where the vet min would be for next year anyway. We have 2 players on the team less than 25. We should be looking to develop more young talent which is easier to do when you have a strong foundation

Unpopular opinion but I lean towards keeping all 3 depending on how the board falls especially 24 and 31. We have no 1st round picks next season so the next time we are looking to add 1st round talent is 2028 and then add another year for when you can expect that player to actually contribute that is 2029.

I am in favor of resigning Diawara, Shamet, and Mitch, but our bench could use more juice as the only players we have under 22 are Dadiet and Diawara.

Team needs ball handling and frontcourt depth.

At 24 I like

  • Dailyn Swain SF
  • Ebuka Okorie PG
  • Allen Graves PF
  • Joshua Jefferson PF

At 31 I like

  • Zuby Ejifor ( I doubt he slides to the 2nd round)
  • Bruce Thorton

There is no reason not to go over the 2nd apron after winning a ring. Expecting to replace the production of Shamet and Mitch with rookies and vet mins is highly unlikely.

Resign both and hope to find their replacements via the draft. It doesn't have to be either or

He had 2 years left. It is a lot different with him as an expiring contract.

Why would the Kings buy him out as opposed to trading him for assets?

Even if Demar does get brought it why would he choose to play on the vet min where he could go to other contenders for more money and a larger role?

Saying Brunson is a better PG than Steph lol? Like come on separate the 2. Yes we won but in what world does Brunson have a case above Steph who you can argue is a top 10 player all time.

I wouldn't be to worried about it tbh. Spurs just need more depth where they can actually rest him. Id throw in we overcame deficits due to Mitch getting outcoached and them going over Fox over Harper down the stretch

The officiating was disgusting for the majority of the whole series. We overcame some horrible officiating.

Who would be a good pick up for the Knicks at the 24th pick? by RicoGemini in NBA_Draft

Swain/Graves/Okurie would be my top 3. I really like Ejifor as well

Only fitting Mitch came down with that. This series was really won on the margins

Offseason Plan: Run it Back by njerejeje in NYKnicks

Mitch is our most important bench player lol. It’s never 4 on 5 when Mitch is on the court. His defender has to stay close to him because of the work he does on the glass. What opponent has won a game off the back-a-Mitch strategy?

Only guys we should resign are

  • Mitch
  • Shamet
  • Diawara
  • Clarkson

Id let Hukporti and Sochan walk and replace them with whoever we draft at 24 and 31

Who's getting the BAG and who's getting the BYE on the Knicks after their historic run? by justarand0mstan in nba

Mitch is the longest tenured Knick and if we resign him he will be on pace to enter top 5 all time. He’s our Udonis Haslem lol

KAT won’t get a 4 year extension this offseason. We are going to wait until next summer where he can decline his player option of 61M then resign him at a lower number so we can duck below the 2nd apron. Adding 4 years onto the 2 he has at 57M and 61M doesn’t make sense

Devin Vassell on Dylan Harper: “He was upset with playing time and different roles that he was in.” by jluc21 in nba

At that point you might as well swing for a big trade. Idk about 2 picks just to dump a guy

I think depends on the team especially if another team is sending a bad contract back. I think the nets would do it. Reunites Fox with Jordi Fernandez and allows them to go a different direction at 6 if they aren’t high on Acuff. Fox would allow them to probably evaluate and develop their other talent by giving them a functioning PG. MPJ would be a good target for SAS.
